    not going for infantry. Doesn anyone else have experience here. will i still be able to play online poker on most nights?

    I'm a pretty athletic kid and the challenge drew me in. Can't figure out what I want to go to school for/ watched Full metal Jacket as a kid lol

    I know a lot of pretty intelligent Marines. They all have that same "challenge" motivation. Unfortunately I just don't feel the whole brainwashing thing. All I can advise you is don't fuck up or they put you out in front of the convoy "sweeping" for mines/IEDs. So sick.

    lol @ not going for infantry. You really don't have much choice. If you already enlisted at MEPS with the USMC, tell me if you have a job title GUARANTEED in your contract? If not, you're going to be placed with the needs of the Marine Corps when you finish training. Good luck.

    whats up kyle Im metfan4590s bro and ive been interested in joining to. Im on my way to losing 40lbs or so and ill most likely be in this time next year. Im not joining unless i get a Gtd MOS tho but it shouldnt be to hard to ace the ADSVAB. my dad was in the marines and if your not deployed then its a 9-5 job so yes... you will be able to play.... if your gonna be inf..... then for 6 months out of the year youll be in iraq/afghan and idk about playing poker there..... something tells me that the wifi signal isnt gonna be to hot.

    ASVAB was easy as fuck but waiting for everyone to finish before going to the hotel tilted me. They said the motto is, "hurry up and wait." You choose three MOS's. You will not be GTD one.

    I am a product of the Marines, 11 years plus now haha.. you will definitely see how i am the way i am when you are in..

    btw, you dont pick three MOS's, you get a category choice based on your asvab score and then they put you in an MOS based on the needs of the Marine Corps. for instance i qualified for legal admin group.. there is a tier of MOS inside that, and i got the aviation operations one.. So in a way you get to pick what your going to do, just not exactly what your going to do.. hit me up if you have any questions, ive been in long enough to know the ropes and have had the best jobs in the Marine Corps by far imo.. gl

    and lol at 9 to 5.. nothing in the Marine Corps is 9-5.. Even the admin, Swing with the wing jobs still PT at 530 3 days a week, get to work by 730 or 8.. 4:30 is off time. Well thats until you start picking up rank and being able to do your own thing.
