So I asked my kid what she wanted for dinner tonight and she said pancakes. I was like yeah, why not. Pancakes are not just for breakfast. But only if I made some bacon too.
I have seen so many pics on here of people cooking up some bacon for whatever reason and they are always using a frying pan. I have never done that. I just remember my grandmother cooking bacon like that and we would end up with these wrinkly little things that were all shriveled up. I don't want that. Give me a nice full size piece. So for all you bacon retarded people this is how it's done.
1) Get a sheetpan and cover it with foil for easy clean up. Lay out your bacon.

2) Put bacon in a 350 oven.

3) 16 minutes later...

4) take it out.

5) Transfer bacon on paper towels to absorb the grease.

6) Admire your bacon.

7) Eat.

Don't give me any crap about it's quicker or easier to do it in a frying pan. This is bacon people. Treat it with the respect it deserves. Enjoy. -
Fuck that looks like great bacon.
TY for sharing this, I will definitely have to try.
Oh, and nice stealth brag about having a house with utilities. -

-
Who is holding the bacon in that pic? Frodo Baggins?
-
I'm lazy.

Bacon does look good however, the granite counter top is best. Mine is the black/darker version.
So many hidden bragzzz -
thats an understatement
-

picture number six reminds me of the time i went to ensanda mexico. glad i had medical insurance!

That was Oscar Mayer Hearty Thick Cut Bacon. I usually just go with the regular but had this in the freezer left over from when I made a bacon explosion.
Edit- and I'm pretty sure the name of the granite color was polychrome. -
I've never even considered putting bacon in the oven. I've always just fried it up.
Def going to have to try this. -
i have the same countertops!
+1 for me
i usually run the oven at 400 which crisps up the bacon nicely. to avoid the wrinkled mess that usually occurs with the higher heat i sandwich the bacon in between two sheet pans. try it! -
Does it spray grease all over the oven? If so, is it hard to clean up? If it is as easy as a frying pan, then I will try it out.
-
LOL just put it in the oven as instructed by lefty and eat it like a heterosexual. (nice brag about having paid your power bill this month.)
-
Nice brag about having an "upper oven", which means you have a "lower oven" too. wp!
