hi guys, i'm writing an official letter and have a dillema in one of the sentences. here it is:
I would like to know...
a) when the tour begins and how long will it last?
b) when the tour begins and how long it will last?
c) when does the tour begin and how long will it last?
d) when does the tour begin and how long it will last?
thanks for help -
I would like to know when the tour begins, and how long it will last.
Don't think there's a need for question mark unless you use the "when does" or "how long will it" both are questions there. -
You dont need a comma before "AND". I would say that C sounds the best as a former english major, I'm pretty sure that they are all proper english and could be used
-
before you choose wait until BGX posts to make it official.
-
here not hear. i know i suck.
-
I here BGX used to flunk english anyways.
-
id go with C
-
I agree that B is the correct choice and there is no need for the question mark.
-
B for sure
-
C is correct, and the best-sounding of them all. B (without the Q mark) is good as well.
-
oh, i thought C was the whole sentence. ya, if you use the "i would like to know" its B
-
The tour starts next Friday at 4:00 and will last 3-4 hours.
