  1. Taking a bus (30th St. Station) out there Monday...arrives noon
    Going to a concert (Electric Factory - 7th St.)...doors are 8 i think

Any suggestions on spots to eat?
Maybe a spot to watch the game(most), IF there is one?
Something historical-ish I should check out?
    Shots?

There's obviously time to kill and I don't mind walking.
    Thanks.

Obviously go get a cheesesteak. Hit up old city or something since it's not too far from the EF. There will be places there to eat, watch the game, etc. You could check out some of the old shit (liberty bell, independence hall, etc) if you're feeling all historical and shit. All in the same general area although that would be a shit ton of walking if you didn't take a cab at all.

  8. There's a real good tour that leaves out of old city... phillytour.com, 22 stops I think

Genos is the best place for a steak, def the cleanest...Termini bros has great desserts
  9. Indeed, a lot of the NY buses go to 30th st. There is also the other big bus station down by the convention center but it seems like a lot of the NY buses don't use that as much from what I've heard.

That is worse for you though. Either take the local train to Market Street (two stops) or take a cab. Walking from 30th to the other side of town is a pain and you won't see too much in the way of interesting shit along the way.

  10. Yeah, you'll want to get to the bus station at 10'th and Filbert if you can...or just jump in a taxi at 30'th st.

The bus station will put you in Chinatown. Good for washy-washys and Chinese food. You'll also be near The Reading Terminal Market. (11'th and Filbert). I go here once in a while. There's a great Amish place I go to for breakfast. There's alot of food vendors in there that you've seen on the Travel Channel and the Food Network. DeNic's for a roast pork sandwich, Bassetts Ice Cream is great, Delilah's makes the best Mac and Cheese in the country. Oprah said it, so it must be true...and so on.

Cheesesteaks - Jim's on South is my favorite. There's a few bars on South Street also, but it's gone downhill. I lived there when I was a kid, it used to be pretty cool... Pat's and Geno's are right across the street from each other. I go to Geno's. I used to eat at Pat's, but someone told me that it was dirty and that I should go to Geno's. I don't know how true that is but it always stuck in my head. You should try both tho, have a taste test. It's a good photo op too.

Tourism - Check out Independence Hall. Last time I was there we pretty much just walked in and took a tour. It's pretty cool if your into history at all. The Liberty Bell is right there, Betsy Ross's house, Ben Franklin's grave. Olde City is a good place to just walk around, history and cool bars. You can take a bus or horse and carriage tour, just don't expect to see a nice waterfront. Philly has the shittiest waterfront of any city I have ever been to.

  11. How old are you? If between 21-30, olde city is prob the best place to go, south street is more of a high school/ thug scene nowadays. Manayunk is fun, but kinda far far from where u will be at. Soooo olde city seems like a good place to go after the concert. Check out the mtter museum while in Philly. It's fucking awesome.

Ps- olde city is like 2nd street- like 8th street and market
  12. 32 yet youthful lol

ull be fine down there, there is every kinda bar you could want down there... i personally like drinkers pub, but there are classy places, a pool hall called buffalo billiards(obv a pool hall with several bars) a few dance clubs, a cuban place, and a few other smaller bars... and its right near the delaware river...

PM me if u have any other questions...

I did these. The input was appreciated from all though. I had an amazing time.
The museum was absolutely ridiculous. I walked past it and knew I was gunna get caught up in there. Needed a coffee and a bagel from hmmm "Caffeniation" or close to that. Service was awesome and very friendly.
I was in the museum for about 2 hours and it's a must see for anyone who goes to Philly.
    Cuties too...lol

Trust me when I say I wanted to make my way down to Geno's , but my liver got the best of me. That and funds were tight and I figured I could get something in the Reading Market...which i did. The price of a large Mac-n-Cheese caught me by surprise and I think the cashier could tell. "10.80...but 10.00 is kewl" haha Maybe cuz I was fanagling in my pockets and/or my jawdropped, anyway 100% worth it! Just wow. I would have gotten a meal there but I wanted the roast pork from around the corner. Um. Yummm.

There was a bar right by Elec. Fac...i think "McGilligutties" or something, which was perfect. Except for one thing, and maybe I'm wrong, but no buy-backs? I think i got a Red Bull for free so I guess I'll take it.

The Field Hose did have $3 Yuengling drafts so that made up for that.

I'm shot, but had an amazing time. Thanks again.
    Would/Will def go back.
