living in Lubbock, TX?

    Do any of you know what it's like to live in Lubbock? I would hopefully be making frequent weekend trips to the mountains and Vegas, which would not suck at all. Am I gonna want to kill myself whenever I can't get out of town? What is the general vibe there? Dangerous? Crazy religious conservative gun slinging types? Anything fun to do outside of your typical college party town stuff?

    I have heard a couple online pros are from there/live there. (Apestyles, a couple others?) If any of you could comment on the scene that would be awesome.
