  1. Are sites like 5perhead and 24-7bookie and payperhead worth it? For those of it that don't know, those sites offer services to local bookies who have a decent amount of clients (at least 20) with a site that they can give to their clients. The site just logs all of the agents incoming bets and amount wagered.

Anyways, the agent pays a fee per client. I've found some that are as low as 5$ per head, but It seems like it cuts heavy into the juice, or the profit you'd be making from having alot of clients. thoughts?
  2. 5$ is almost nothing if your clients bet a few games every week. It enables them to not pay someone or sit themselves and answer the phone all day sat and sun. I personally dont like it as a bettor because its easier to degen and bet everything when its a click away.
  3. I use a site kinda like this....

Bettors have an account and can log in/place bets online. I have an admin account, and can see all the players I manage.

Is this just to track bets, or can bettor's make plays here? If bettors can make plays, I wouldn't worry about cutting into the juice. $5/head is mad cheap for the amount that a site like that will return to you. Having your clients book online gives them an easier avenue to place bets, and thus probably increases the amount of action they lay.

  4. it's good if clients are betting a minimum amount each week, but if you get people who are betting small amounts it can become not worth it for those individuals.

  5. Cosign with killingbird. I've used PPH sites before (when I used to do this sort of thing), the conveinence of not having to worry about answering phones and audit accounts when disputes arose was nice. But, my client base didn't wager enough to where I could justify the additional expense. I also saw almost no uptick on 'branching out wagers' (guy normally bets football, sees hockey/bball lines starts betting them, H/T bets, Q bets, props, etc.) they guys that bet more exotic wagers/different sports with me, would do it regardless if they could easily access them or not. I think a PPH approach makes sense if you have a high volume business and/or you have guys who bet on tons of different stuff.

  6. Thanks for the response. I dont have alot of clients, only about 12-15 weekly but I feel like using a PPH site cud not only help me keep track, but also gain more clients who are 1) afraid to deposit money online and 2) afraid to find a personal bookie cuz theyre scared of shady characters.

  7. Its not any less shady. If you are worried about getting paid or something similar, wether u place your bets on the comp or over the phone makes no difference.
  8. I've never had a personal bookie, but I feel like I would be more likely to do it through a bookie who had something like this set up because I would be less worried about disagreements/disputes arising.

@swizbeatz this is really what i meant in terms of more trust. you can see everything and never be a dispute.

  10. for sure. in my scenario I didn't like it but everyone is different. gotta be easier on ur end.
  11. i just got hooked up with a guy that runs his stuff through a site like this. I absolutely love it.
  12. $5 is super cheap. $10 is a real good number. $15ish is standard if the account also has access to a 1-800 number for wagering and support. It's also a tool to bring on other people that want to run reds with you (i've actually heard of guys adding the site charges to their agents red number). Either way, it's a super tough business anymore, and i'm glad i no longer have that feeling in the pit of my stomach every sunday and monday night.
  13. Our guy uses a site like this.

Our account is set up with a $2500 limit, and we just bet whatever we want. At the end of the week it logs the +/- and resets the amount for the next week.

    Its so easy.
  14. This seems like the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard related to betting, but maybe its just me
  15. anybody ever been in trouble for booking or know anyone who has?

  16. careful with the props, some of these sites are unreliable on those and you can get picked off
