The Ravens getting 1 or 1.5 thursday against my Atlanta Falcons. I've seen this shit play out the same for years where Atlanta hosts a primetime game against a quality team only to get pounded. This will be one of those games. I love Matt Ryan, but I predict he's going to have an embarrassing night. flame away....
-
no flame...just a thank you...gotta go call my bookie, fly to Vegas, etc etc
-
Matt Ryan is something like 15-1 in his career at home...or something ridiculous like that...
-
will impose self-ban if "lock of the year" doesn't pull thru?

IDK the Falcons don't do well on a primetime national stage I am nervous because the Ravens are a good team and we are kinda beat up from Sunday
My biggest hope is Ray Lewis decides to go party and gets locked up again just for a few days -
He's too busy bitching and moaning about how dumb Thursday night games are

Ryan undefeated at home.
Ravens are pretenders. -
great... i already took the ravens.

If I did have a lock that I knew was guaranteed to win, I would never share it with anyone. This "lock" seems a little sketchy tho.
-
GO BIG FOR RAVENS>>>BIG!!! I live in Atlanta my whole life... Def was a Michael Vick (still am). OP is right Falcons blow big games, this will be no different.
-
This blows for me in fantasy football I have Brees who has a bye and had Ryan on bench all season the one week I need his punk ass to perform he is going to get crushed by the Ravens D.
-
nevada -8.5 or 9.5 @ fresno st. tho
-
Thursday night games in the NFL are dumb. these guys are creatures of habit.
-
Well I got him Ryan in 15th round of a 14 person league was a steal and I could not pass him up, I know I should have looked at the byes and such but at that point in the draft It's a matter of picking up the best talent. -
Edited By: AMARTIN1181 Nov 10th, 2010 at 11:04 PMahhhh orgnalsooners. i love you man but bettors like u keep vegas in business. It looks nice but doubt that's a lock in week 10 lol.Originally Posted by orgnalsooners
If u really want a lock take the AFC -3 in the Super Bowl which u can get now at several casinos.
AFC: Jets, Steelers, Colts, Ravens, etc
NFC: Giants? Eagles? Packers?
AFC is a lock.... Translation: Go bet the NFC according to OT
this isn't the 2000 ravens... pretty sure Ryan Fitzpatrick rolled em for like 500 yards 2 weeks ago. I would roll with Ryan and not really worry about it.Originally Posted by perma_tilt

I would like to say I feel this is a lock too. Raven will win this game.
Reason: wanted to pile on the jinx -
lol at this being a lock when both teams are playing 4 days after their last game... that plays a huge factor imo. To add to that, I'd be hard-pressed to bet against the Falcons at home, in a primetime game with Ryan starting. This game could go either way (though I would agree that Baltimore has a better chance of winning), but it's far from a lock.

Obligatory bump
-
fuck!!!!!
i lost my ass betting the ravens because of this "lock"

I was so tempted to chime in with my own prophecies of doom and gloom for the Falcons in this game as I too have been watching this team shit the bed whenever it found itself caught in the glare of national attention and laboring under the crushing weight of lofty over-expectations. Before tonight if ever there were a professional football team which could proudly wear the label "not-ready-for-prime-time," the Falcons were the poster franchise for this distinction.
But lo, a new beast lurked within the jerseys of the black and red. They not only found a way to win this game, but they won it by going the length of the field with a minute to play against a defense regarded as invincible in situations like this. I have not been on Matt Ryan's bandwagon since his dip in performance last season, but he clearly proved he has the right stuff with his performance and his leadership throughout this game. Good for you, kid. I mean, good going Mr. Ice, sir. Can I have your autograph?
