    Bob Sapp vs Kimo in K-1

    Some back story here if you guys dont follow mma, Bob Sapp was this gigantic black american guy who fought in Japan and became a kind of spectacle there. He didn't transition to fight in the USA that much besides this match, more than likely he would have gotten busted for his rumored on and off steroid use and in Japan they dont really test for that. He didn't have much technique but was able to give some hell to a couple of guys in pride and even beat a former top K-1 guy, Ernesto Hoost (who was admittedly past his prime) just using sheer physical strength. Imagine a 5 year old stuck in the body of a defensive lineman and you got his fighting style.

    Kimo has been around since the very first UFC's and his as old school a mma guy as they come so this fight wasn't super star status on paper but turned out to be pretty hilarious (btw I know Sapp's punches look ridiculous but of course if a guy that big puts even half his strength and size behind one and catches you its gg)

    I really didn't see anything landed solid, it's basically just 2 completely out of shape heavyweights who ran out of energy quickly.

    I remember watchin that Sapp v Hoost fight. Sapp got a few big shots in, but Hoost beat the crap out him. Ref stopped the fight and Sapp won. He got carried to the dressing room and couldnt compete in the next fight, so Hoost did and won.

    Bob Sapp almost never hit anyone with anything solidly if you see his other fights, dude was just beast mode strong and could hit someone on the top of the head or even when they had their hands up and they would still get KO'd. This is what happened when he got in the ring with a real top level kickboxer still near his prime, Mirko Cro Crop (K-1/Pride Cro Crop was a beast, he def isn't nearly at the level he used to be since he has been in the UFC)

    He started crying but I remember he actually got his orbital bone broken from that shot; that is one of the most painful injuries someone can get so I can't blame him. He was running around with a eye patch for some time after that, guy was a total spectacle.

    LoL at rumored steroid steroid use, jea ok buddy. That was a pretty good explanation of his fighting style tho rofl
