  1. LOL Sportsmanship
  2. Awesome - now I'm definitely watching the Grey Cup (as long as I can bet on it).

Any wagering tips? I don't know shit about CFL
  3. I suppose when King King Mosca swings the cane, he has the right coming from Injun Joe Kapp.
  4. Whats the context? I dont know shit about CFL
  5. hahaha thats fucken hilarious - i've met angelo on several occasions and he is legendary. When he retired from football he went on to a fairly successful career in wrestling so it wouldn't surprise me if the entire thing was staged.

angelo mosca is a hall of fame defensive lineman who had a reputation as being a dirty player. Had a mean streak a mile wide on and off the field. Joe Kapp was a quarterback from the same era and if i'm not mistaken went on to play for the Vikings in the NFL following his CFL career.
  6. joe kapp got fucked-over by the NFL, prolly 'cause he was latino. drafted out of college but wasn't contacted at all by the team that drafted him? had to play a season without a new contract after the vikings exercised their option? takes his team to the super bowl and no team in the league wants him as a free agent? pretty weird at least.

  7. old people are my favourite.

    idgaf about sports tho
  8. Old mans still got it!
  9. from the wiki eyeknows posted:

He received the team MVP, but refused the team MVP award, saying, "There's no one most valuable Viking."

that is awesome stuff right there.
  10. more people need to use canes so they can whack people like he did
  11. What an AWESOME clip . . .
  12. LOL Barry "never a superstar" Windham sighting...

When in doubt go with the League MVP and the HoF coaching cred. In this case, take BC and the points. Also, bet the under unless the total is below 40, as the game usually plays more conservative in the early stages than the usual CFL shoot-out.

Also, re: the OP. 48 years ago Mosca was a Tiger Cat, and Kapp played for the Lions in the Grey Cup. Lions star Willie Fleming was knocked out of the game by Mosca with what some called a dirty (and definitely) late hit. Ti-Cats went on to win 21-10, and Kapp refused to shake Mosca's hand after the game. Kapp went to give Angie a flower and got told to stick it up his ass, so he tossed it in Mosca's face, and you get to see the ensuing fun. It's on Kapp as he looked to be starting osmething with the flower schtick.
  15. stick it up your ass.. LOL
  16. I can't wait for the Grey Cup, cause that means the CFL is finally over and I don't have to hear people talk about it on sportcenter anymore.
  17. BC Lions favored by 7 over Winnipeg. Over/under 50.5.

Gonna just bet the under I think.

  19. Legit thought it was two grandmothers fighting cause I had the audio off. Sick right from grandma creepy.
  20. Yeah that's real tough beating up a ninety year old man.
  21. Mosca is 73, and had an incredibly strong grip when I met him a few years back in the Ti-Cat suite at a Grey Cup party in T.O.
  22. Kapp is a historic symbol for toughness in the NFL, and Mosca, of course, had to always think he could take Kapp anytime he wanted. It's probably no wonder they can still throw down even as they are elderly. If these two guys fought when both in their primes, it would have been sick.

i lol'd at this. i'm prolly going to hell now. i'm blaming it on the mexican music. ;)
  26. yeah, the wiki said -

While most quarterbacks dislike being hit, Kapp was the opposite. He loved to hit and when he took off on a run he’d try to run over defenders.

he also play basketball for cal and they won the pacific coast conference championship both seasons.

he was the cal head coach for "the play".

  27. 14-6 at halftime - the under looking good...
  28. The more I think about it, the more I have to blame the organizers of this event.

You can't put Kapp and Mosca in the same room. It's irresponsible.

Back in the day, it would have been something akin to a co-celebrity roast of Tupac and Biggie.
