  4. I actually picked Na in the Yahoo Fantasy Golf OT thing, but luckily I had him on the bench. Good lord, 16?!?! WOW.
  5. I know exactly how he feels...lol. The only difference is after about shot 7 or 8 I probably pick it up and chuck it to a playable lie
  6. That was a good watch, lol nice find.
  7. He shot 33 on the back 9 which is pretty impressive & handled it well

Indeed. The leader was only -5 for the day and Na was -4 for the other 17 holes. FUCKKKK.
  9. lol I bet Na at 40:1 to win this week... oops. too bad because he played well otherwise. root for my other bet now, JB Holmes I got at 25:1.

  13. Yeah back in college when I played 4 x a week this type of hole would have resulted in lotsa things being broken into pieces,.
  14. yikes, i barfed out a 14 once. in a goofy fun round i'm sure i got north of 20. just keep whacking at that white bitch. lol
  15. gentlemans ten.
  16. Some of the douches I golf with wouldve called it a snowman aka Double par
  17. The lesson to be learned here is always hit a provisional. Na should have hit a provisional the first time he hit in the rough stuff, and would have saved himself the walk back to the tee. Again, he should have hit a provisional the second time he hit right, to save from trying to whack the ball out of there.

It's like a free practice shot and is within the rules. If you think there's any chance you might not find your ball, or might not be able to play it, hit another ball.

You can no longer play a provisional once you find your first ball. It's in the rules to speed up play, not for free practice shots.

This. Looking for the ball was probably the worst thing he did
  20. Keep smiling asshole, you suck at golf.
  21. At what point is your caddy supposed to give you advice instead of letting you flail around like a caveman?
  22. Mulligan
  23. His caddy came off as a douche.
  24. But Zags what if his second tee shot sails so far sideways he knows he's not going to find it? He's not allowed to hit a third one? What if he cannot find his second tee shot? Does he have to DQ?
  25. He can play the provisional ball if he doesn't finds it obv. But as soon as you find it you have to play it
  26. If the purpose of the provisional ball rule is to speed up play, and Na has no other option if declaring unplayable other than going back to the tee, it seems like he should be able to hit a third ball from the tee as a provisional, rather than walking back a second time.
  27. Na also had two other options: two clubs no closer to the hole or go back as far as he wanted to, keeping his original ball in line with the flag. It wouldn't be fair if his provisional ball was an option because having known he already striped it down the middle, it would affect his decision as to which unplayable option he wanted to take. Under a lost ball, the only option is to go back to the tee, thus the reason for a provisional ball.

What would be the ruling in this scenario. He hits a provisional off the tee after he hit his 2nd ball in the woods and decided to not look for his 2nd ball. I'm assuming he can just go to the edge of the woods and not really look for it and say the ball is lost, correct? But now while he's declaring it lost or just after he declares it lost, a ranger finds his ball. Is it now against the rules for him to play the provisional?
