  1. I think this may come back to the whole poker thing, but it can happen in other circumstances as well.

Do you look down on people who are unemployed, or don't work the standard grind? I know a lot of older people who wake up at 5am..work till 4 or 5....and than repeat every weekday tend to look down at or just plain dislike people who either don't work for whatever reason or find other ways to make money or just get to sleep in whenever they want. People who do the manual types of labor also look down on people who have desk jobs or easy jobs compared to what there doing. Anybody here feel this way or know people who act like this. They almost act like they are better than other people because they choose to work harder jobs or whatever which i believe is messed up and they shouldn't be judgin other people jus cause they choose to work some shitty factory or manual labor type of job...

    rant//
  2. Well, you tried.

  5. People look down at others, always have always will. I think its part of human nature.

One summer during college I worked for a HVAC company. I drove a company truck, was always wearing company shirts and was usually dirty from work. I noticed a lot of people treated me differently. A lot of homeowners would talk down to me when I'd come out to do a job. It was a great lesson for me.

I will encourage my kids to work manual labor/non glamorous job for a summer because its gives you great perspective.

Usually the majority of people looking down on others have no room to even begin to judge others.
  6. its not me being a hypocrite because I don't look down on them. I'm just stating that factory jobs are shitty work that pay decent wages and if thats what you choose to do I have no problem with that. Its more of the lifestyle i suppose, the typical 6-5 or whatever compared to people who either work part time jobs, random work, self employed stuff to get by. idk.

Kinda got a warped view on life there fella... Let me guess you be a lazy boy that likes to sleep all day.
  10. I haven't worked a real job since I was 19 and I get back-handed comments from some people that work 9-5s. Some people are bitter and jealous and they aren't even aware of it.

But at the same time, I can see where people are coming from sort of. It's annoying as fuck when you are starting your day and have all these obligations, just to get home from busting your ass and seeing your friend or roommate hop out of the shower and just starting his day.
  11. Seeing others succeed easily shouldn't make people jealous. Most people who have things come easy to them worked hard to make it this way, and they deserve everything they are getting. Sure you can be jealous because you're lazy and retarded. But understand it's not the other persons fault you feel this way. Work hard and understand obviously others have worked hard to succeed how they will. (unless you're a god damn trust fund baby, I hate you fuckers)
  12. i never look down on ppl... i'm 5'2'"
  13. Hell, I'm 6'4", so I'll look down on 6'2" dude for all you midgets. You're welcome.

As for the OP, I look down on hypocrites and fools. So, basically, I hate everyone.

  19. my father was a teacher. my families' first home was amongst factory workers. they all made much more than my father did at that time, but they resented the hell out of him because he had the summers off. they weren't subtle about it either.
