  4. Colorado is a very hot team right now. Ian Stewart is showing a lot of potential, Hawpe is THE most underrated player in baseball, the staff has been pitching very well (wtf Marquis?), and Street has been as good as ever. Ianetta will get rolling again, they have speed at the top of the lineup, and a lot of power throughout.

Jiminez and DeLaRoza have shown flashes of brillance in the past, and its looking like they are putting it all together this year.

Would it surprise me if they won the WC? No. Would I put my money on them to do it? No.

  5. I hope they get to the World Series - they gave everyone a great show last time they were there.

Yeah sorry I don't know anything about baseball as was proven earlier. Just ignore my ignorant comments.
  7. It's good right now because so many teams have a shot at the playoffs, I don't think the Rockies go on another miracle run, it just doesn't seem like they have enough solid pitching, but anything can happen.
  8. July 20. Let me know where they are in 2 months.

Will do! 31 wins since June 4 after tonight. Just focus on the wc for now, then winning once they get there. They know that drill now. They're just not waiting until the last few weeks in the season this year. Oh 9-1 now. Most impressive is they score like this on the road as well as home. Tonights at home but San Diego was on the road. Just throwing it out there since that was always an issue. (Ian Stewart is a beast.)
  10. Iannetta homer, now 10-1 in the 5th.
  11. I can't really remember who it was (nor do I care enough to look it up), but whoever told me that I was crazy for thinking Fowler would cruise to 30 SBs is a moron. He's at 23 with a little under half the year to go. The kid flies.
  12. is this really a thread?
  13. I was there tonight. It's a good club.

And no it's not really a thread unless it's about the Mets or the Phillies, so just ignore it and it might go away.

thoughts? Umm... this is like saying Ben Curtis was leading the British Open at one point on Thursday, then he proceeded to not even make the cut. Please hold off any Rockies posts until September at least, geez.

    which banned poster are you?
  17. It must be sad to not pay attention to baseball that is not on the east or west coast. Everyone brushing them off is missing one of the most young, talented teams in baseball. Todd Helton is about to hit 500 doubles, Brad Hawpe is mashing the baseball and with a doubt the most underrated player in the majors, Tulo is playing fantastic defense, he has a canon for an arm and is looking much more comfortable at the plate, Ian Stewart is one of the best young power hitters (low average though), and while Dexter Fowler isnt the best lead off hitter in the league when he gets on base is it almost a guaranteed runner in scoring position, Chris Ianetta is also one of the most dangerous 8 hole hitters in baseball. Marquis leads the leagues in wins, Ubaldo Jimenez has the fastest average fastball (I know that doesnt mean much but he has flashes of brilliance on the mound), De la rosa started off the year 0-6 he is now 7-7, and Huston Street has 23 saves. You really cant ignore this team.

My absolute favorite part of the team is that with the exception of Carlos Gonzalez and Torrealba, the entire rotation of position starters were all drafted, signed and brought up through thier minor league program (including Matt Holliday). This speaks volumes about their scouting and player development, maybe other teams should take notes.

    lol

ya absolutely ship the wild card to the Rox. Their offense is unbelievable and if they can maintain solid starting pitching its over. too bad that once again they are getting little national respect... or is it? maybe its better they remain underestimated.

also lol @ whoever said the rox are a "hot" team right now. a hot team wins 9 out of their last 14. the Rox have won 30 of their last 40 games. thats not a "hot" team, thats a fundamentally sound team.

  19. p.s. sick post sir, well said
