  1. Just hired ESPN's Mark Jackson, as their new head coach....momma there goes that man.
  2. whew, i was worried the pistons might hire Jackson. I'm pulling for Laimbeer to get the job but will probably not happen.
  3. their team is rebuilding and he was due to get a look. i like the hire for both sides. its not like the warriors are close to being good or anything, also their best player probably wont be there much longer

I tune in during Laker games to specifically hear at least once, "What can Brown do for you?"

  19. Well at least with the Warriors you talk about opportunity, you talk about enthusiasm, you talk about a good core group of players....that's what you talk about.

  20. i never knew his brother was escalade from the and 1 streetball thing. saw he died a couple months ago.
  21. we shouldve made Phil Jackson an offer he couldnt refuse
  22. is getting into broadcasting the best way of getting a sick nba gig?

seems like tnt/espn have to fight the nba from taking away there talent
  23. His lack of coaching ability is going to be a disaster with this group of players who has been used to run and gun.
I think he'll go in there overzealous and it's not going to fly with ellis, lee, etc any veteran they have on the roster

yeah but this is the first guy w/ really no coaching chops whatsoever to get a head coaching job straight from broadcasting

i mean he has done NOTHING even remotely coaching related.

granted, but he did play pg for 15 years in the nba, which is the closest thing to being a coach on the court.

I don't get the thread title... they are the warriors, who the fuck else were they going to land at the position? It's not like great coaches are lining up to coach the warriors, so why not take a chance on Mark Jackson for 2m per for 3 years... I don't see why it's such an awful hire.
