Just hired ESPN's Mark Jackson, as their new head coach....momma there goes that man.
-
whew, i was worried the pistons might hire Jackson. I'm pulling for Laimbeer to get the job but will probably not happen.
-
Mama there goes that man
-
He has never coached before, on any level!
-
There really is a God
I think he's my least favorite broadcaster of all time -
Warriors > Turnbull ACs > Gramercy Riffs
-
not on my watch
-
THREE BALL CORNER POCKET
-
"you're wrong, jeff"
-
LOLOL Warriors, good luck with that. Marc Jackson said probably the most accurate thing I've heard said about Shaq to date. He said "Probably the coolest 7-footer that this planet has ever seen." So true. I will not miss hearing "Hand down, man down." I hate that one.
-
Well at least with the Warriors you talk about opportunity, you talk about enthusiasm, you talk about a good core group of players....that's what you talk about.
-
i never knew his brother was escalade from the and 1 streetball thing. saw he died a couple months ago.
-
we shouldve made Phil Jackson an offer he couldnt refuse
-
His lack of coaching ability is going to be a disaster with this group of players who has been used to run and gun.
I think he'll go in there overzealous and it's not going to fly with ellis, lee, etc any veteran they have on the roster -
hes gonna wonders for curry and monta is on his way out. jackson will do ok, lets not overreact
-
yeah but this is the first guy w/ really no coaching chops whatsoever to get a head coaching job straight from broadcasting

they obv. think that hanging around with the great JVG will make you a good coach through osmosis or something.
-
escalade died??? wtf!
-
granted, but he did play pg for 15 years in the nba, which is the closest thing to being a coach on the court.

I don't get the thread title... they are the warriors, who the fuck else were they going to land at the position? It's not like great coaches are lining up to coach the warriors, so why not take a chance on Mark Jackson for 2m per for 3 years... I don't see why it's such an awful hire.
