Last night I watched Loose Change 2. I know there has been considerable discussion in this forum already on the validity of the 9-11 attacks, but this thing was so convincing. Is there something I'm missing, or does the flat-out evidence in this documentary not prove beyond a doubt to any logical, reasonable person that 9-11 was in fact a 'psychological attack on the American people' by it's own government? And that to achieve this Bush etc were prepared to kill hundreds of it's own people in front of the world. From what I can see the only reason any intelligent person would not believe that is the case after watching that doco is simply in denial, which is understandable, as it is in fact almost impossible to fathom.

I'm not from the U.S. Amongst educated people what is the consensus about this topic over there? I feel like I must be missing something, because that doco was SOLID and I would have thought with this kind of evidence available to U.S. citizens there might be some kind of upheaval.

1 thing to make u think that made me think,

My father is an engineer and retired fighter pilot, he knows about jet fuel, he told me that if a 747 was to hit the wall of the pentegon with a full load of fuel at top speed, there would be little of the plane left if any. Did you stop to think to yourself that the bush's and the bin laden's are in on this together to get the american ppl to go along with the war against Iraq and take over the oil? Did you know that George H. Bush is good friends with Osama's family and makes billions of dollars from them? Main problem I'm having now is dealing with the fact that I now believe that this happened.

In the movie 'Jaws' did you think the shark was real in some scenes? Its called a movie, they can make anything convincing. Just piece together a bunch of footage, apply some flash animations, and voila, you have a new conspiracy movie for the 18-25 crowd to latch on to.

A definition I looked up for documentary gave me this

There are some other websites that disprove loose change and other conspiracy theories, but this one is the most complete that I have seen. I'm pretty liberal and don't agree with the current administration on most things, but I just don't understand how anyone can think this was a possible scenario. I would say that most if not all politicians are decent people who want to do good. I'm sure they're all power hungry and egotistical as well, but if they were just greedy pricks they would go into business and make a shitload more money. So to think that several/dozens of this nations highest ranking officials sat around and devised this plan is retarded. And I am all for conspiracies, love them, this just isn't one.

They use quotes out of context, just totally fabricate other quotes, make up facts, etc. Loose change started as a fictional film made by 3 kids making a movie about how our govt was behind 9/11. They said that the more they looked into it the more they thought it might not be so far fetched. So, why isn't it possible that they just filled in holes in their findings with "facts" that they concocted out of mid air?

Questioning things told to you is good, but the level of mistrust you guys seem to have borders on paranoia. In order to believe that the government orchestrated 9/11 you would have to believe that our nation is being run by truly evil people. These people who have worked much of their lives to getting into high autority positions are doing that so they can get there and really fuck some shit up? For something this large there would have to be many people in on it. All these people (this would have to be 100's from FBI, military, the white house) would then have to had stayed quiet for the past 5 years. And finally this massive conspiracy gets uncovered by 3 college students sitting around playing magic. This isn't an episode of 24.

so its all about money, huh? Bush and Cheney are not happy with the millions and millions and millions of dollars they already have? What would they do with more money? So they are inherently bad people whose only goal in life is to accumulate as much wealth as possible regardless of what it takes? Think about it... When you have virtually unlimited money in the first place, what good would it do to orchestrate the biggest coverup in history with so much at risk? What's infinity plus infinity?
