Under immense pressure, Ko carded the joint low round-of-the-day with a sizzling five-under par 67, finishing at 13-under 275 for the tournament, three strokes ahead of second-placed Inbee Park of South Korea, who finished at 10-under.
She is something special guys and in a few years when she turns pro, woooooooosh :-)
Now if some of her magic could just rub off onto Michael Campbell........... -
Pretty impressive alright, especially considering 19 of the worlds top 20 womens pro players were in the field and she is an amatuer.
If she was pro, she would've taken the $300k 1st prize but, being an amatuer was ineligible for prize money.
She is now the youngest player to win on the elite US LPGA Tour in the history of the sport and is also the first New Zealander to win on the Tour, along with being the first amateur to do so for 43 years.
Earlier this year she won the USA amateur title and also became the youngest winner - man or woman - of a professional golf tournament when triumphing at the NSW Open aged 14.
Are we seeing the emergence of the female equivalent of tiger woods in womens golf'?! -
My dad made a super racist comment today while watching this...

I went and watched on Saturday, but mostly stalked Natalie Gulbis and Paula Creamer around the course. Saw the last 3 holes by Ko, and she was playing really good although she 3 putted on 18.

proof OT is getting worse when there's a thread about the LPGA.
