Luicd Dreaming

    I'm one of the apparently (not so lucky) few who remember just about all of their dreams, in pretty solid detail. Since most of the time these dreams are pretty exhausting and annoying, I figured it would be cool if i were capable of reaching lucidity while dreaming so that at least I could make the best of it.

    I read a little bit on lucid dreaming but I couldn't find a ton of "how to" info besides recommendations to constantly check light switches and clocks and what not, since they won't work properly in the dream state.

    Last night (or just now bc i rarely wake up before noon, ever) was the closest I've ever gotten to lucidity. Me and three of my friends were walking around our town at night time, looking for a good bar to go to. We stumbled upon a promising looking dive bar, and upon entrance, were stunned to find the place packed w hot girls, and furthermore, that we were the only guys there. Of course, this ended up being a lesbian bar, and we were kicked out by some angry butch broads.

    Thankfully, two of the hotter lesbos rolled out with us, and walked with us in the direction we were walking. We came upon their house and my friend Phil went in with them, presumably to bang them or something. The 3 of us stood outside waiting for him, when my friend Sean was like "god damn, what's taking phil so long?" Suddenly, and I'm not exactly sure why, I remembered a conversation I had with Phil earlier in the week where he told me he'd be at Mohegan Sun w his fiance and her family all weekend. I asked Sean what day it was. "Saturday." I'm like "Fuck, well then, Phil isn't really here. He's at Mohegan Sun w Jenn's family." My friend Will, who was there for the initial real-life conversation, was like "oh shit, that's true, wtf." Then i was like "well, fuck, we're dreaming. Like inception. Let's do some fun shit."

    Unfortunately, right after that, I kinda lost control again and went back into the dream. I'm not exactly sure why. It may be because i wasn't capable of convincing any of the dream version of my friends that we were really dreaming. Either way, that's by far the closest I've ever gotten to reaching lucidity in a dream.

    Forgive me for some weak storytelling, I literally just woke up and wanted to post this ASAP before i forgot any of the dream.
    So anyway, have any of you toolbags ever had any experience with lucid dreaming? Were you able to control it? How was that shit?

    I had a lucid dream with your mom. I still haven't awoke from it.

    Ive had it naturally all my life, Its exactly as you would imagine, fuckin awesome. I either think of something or say something and it happens. I try and say its like being Neo from The Matrix. On the flipside, there are some dreams im not aware of where i can feel physical pain, i swear.

    every once in a while i get this. its pretty sweet ill go rob a bank and fly or bang a bunch of hot chicks or something

    ive had similar dreams but just like yours i usually dont have control for too long after i realize that i am dreaming. either that or i forget what happened in the dream after i "took control"

    I'm pretty good at recognizing that I'm dreaming but I usually wake up within seconds of becoming lucid so I rarely get any use out of it.

    I have lucid dreams so regularly I think it fucks up with my sleep, as in I'm not fully rested a lot of the time. The dreams range from anything really, it can be realistic to totally fucking bizzare. They last a decent length of time, I can pretty much control if I want to wake up or not.
