  2. looks good, congrats on coming over from the dark side
  3. lmao wait did you say you were putting pics on CDs or running crysis at 60fps?
  4. ur def gonna need more geebees fo sho
  5. loloverkillaments

seriously though I would definitely get some water cooling and overclock that bad boy to at least 4.8GHz and get crysis up to 80fps, maybe even play some global thermonuclear war.
  6. ugg- sadly im unsure if you guys are making fun of me or are serious....getting old is fun...NOT

  7. lol why in the world would you need 2terabytes of hard drive space and 8 gigs of ram and that video card. Are you going to be doing gaming, or intense video editing? I doubt that, you could have bought a way cheaper one for what you want this computer for.
  8. i think we're gonna need some pics of the rac...er...mac to know for sure.

  9. I'm guessing you spent ~$3000 on that mac? A $1200 mac would have given you all that you need and more. Or you could have stayed with an All-In-One PC and spent ~ $700 and had plenty of power. Like this:

  10. i told the guy i was going to be running final cut for the cds i want to make and this is what he said- actually he was trying to sell me a pro mac tower but i actually thought that was overkill with what little knowledge i have so he directed me to this-- oh well live and learn- thank you for the feed back...

Wow, great sales man, Im sure he got a good laugh with his co workers about selling the lady who wanted to use final cut pro the same computer used to render Cars 2 at 11 hours a frame.

Sick computer though I am definitely jealous.

You did get a kick ass computer that won't be going obsolete any time soon tho. And if ur looking to lure some nerds into ur cougar den just tell them about ur i7 sandy bridge w/ solid state drive. (BTW can I come over and check it out?) And even more on the bright side you have a reason to start gaming.
  18. I hope you already had final cut, cause if not id be ripshit. Unless you're doing some serious video editing, macs come with imovie.
  19. i dont have it- i was just told (again by my sisters husband) that final cut was way better than imovie... please tell me imovie is fine because final cut is like 1k more..;(

  20. Pretty sure you can do that in iPhoto

  21. No its not final cut x is like 300. I run cs5.5, but have used pretty much all platforms. There's little learning curve on imovie or elements, a lot of people will buy final cut cause everyone says its the best, but 90% of them will only use it for basic.edits you can accomplish with imovie.

I say try imovies first then upgrade if you want to do more.
  22. ty dams- i will follow your advice...
