Okay so the time has begun. OT Madden returns, late season with every player updated and available to be picked on your very own team. This year we will have some changes to past systems, and hope to build on the foundation of our past league's successes. This will be a free league. If there is interest for a money league we will start one.

When we arrive at 32 players we will create a draft time and date. If we can fill this by next Wednesday or Thursday I would say it would be possible to draft next Saturday or Sunday.

There will be no salary cap. It is possible to do free agent bidding, and create a salary cap. I will leave that up to our members for a vote after week 2.

There will be a free agency pool and a draft occurring each off season with the 32nd team getting the first available pick. Each off season you will have to drop 1 of your top 7 rated players, 1 of your 8-14 players, and 2 of your 15-22 best rated overall players. This will occur after the advance to the next season which will allow for players ratings to either increase or decrease. The first free agency drop and draft period will be AFTER the advance to season 2. K, P, FB will not count (you have to drop other positions.)

We will be using xtreme-football.net if you have not used this and seen the site it is a great tool which allows the league to run very smoothly. Trades can be made via the website, and drop and adds also can be done. The rookie draft will be done through this website as well each off season. Draft picks can be traded in the XFN website, which makes it very easy. All add/drops and trades will be done through this site.

All trades will be voted on. You are allowed and encouraged to trade draft picks and/or players but please keep in mind we have to have a system of veto. Any trade getting more than 5 veto's from other owners will be reviewed by the league and possibly rejected.

Rules will be pretty simple:

• Allowed to go for it on any 4th down and less than or equal to 1 yard. You can go for 4th down anytime in the opponents territory. You can go for 4th down if you are down 3 scores at any time in the game.
  
• No using your guy to block fg around the edge (pretty simple to do this year.)
  
• The league will advance every 3.5 days or as soon as games are finished.
  
• There should ZERO restarts!!!!!! In the event of a disconnect - games are played back to the previous situation.
  
• If two parties cannot connect, The GM who lacks the technology to play their game in a reliable manner will have the CPU take his place for that single game.
  
• Games played against the CPU may not be restarted.
  

The league will be 8 mins 15 min accel clock on All-Pro level. We may change to All-madden depending on player vote, but in my experience it makes the D way too good and the TD to INT ratio is usually unrealistic resulting in more picks than tds and an overall worse game experience.

Rules can be added on or revised at any time by the calling of a vote on an issue by any member.

Everyone should plan the time and day they want to get their game played with their upcoming opponent. The best way to do this in my opinion would be to have a phone list accessible on an excel sheet password protected only available to the members in this league. If there is any qualms with this please let me know other suggestions you might have... texting is the easiest way to communicate.

and just make sure you look in that last thread and get the people that were in the other league...their gamertags were listed next to the teams, not all of them are P5's members

Just read the OP and if we are having a vote my vote is hands down all-madden, all pro is easy, games are no fun when both defenses get driven on. Would rather have a hard fought 21-17 game then an unrealistic 48-45 game where neither team can stop anything.

it makes all the difference in the world if you are in a soft division.
