i dont know about all that but I just lost to them in FIFA, and I was AC Milan.....
-
depends if they start signing players that arent defensive midfielders. for the money they have spent i really dont think they have a particularly good starting line up, let alone squad. it think it will be a good few years yet.
-
Don't mean to come accross as a D-bag but its UEFA. To answer your question, you have one of, if not the strongest squad in the Premiership but you aren't yet a team that play well together. I give it 3/4 seasons before you win the league. Sorry to say but this year I cant see you winning much. I am a Liverpool fan...times are looking alot duller for us.
-
when we lost to ipswich on wednesday it did cheer me up a little when i saw that you had lost to blackpool. it seems like the only people that seem to think dalglish is going to work out are liverpool fans and i think even liverpool fans are starting to change their minds already
-
Jerome Boateng, Wayne Bridge, Aleksander Kolarov, Vincent Kompany, Joleon Lescott Kolo Toure Gareth Barry, Nigel de Jong, Adam Johnson, James Milner, David Silva, Yaya Toure, Patrick Vieira, Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez to name a few. How is this not a strong squad?
-
Never. With the new reulations in they will be banned from European competition in a few years!!
I cannot stand them. I laugh at the training ground bust ups and Mancini saying its no problem. Like Fergie would stand for fghting n training. Get a hold of your players!! They are wasting potential and careers. Look at the likes of Roque Santa Cruz. Playing really well for Blackburn, takes the big money, hardly ever plays and now looking to slink away. The lst s endless. I fucking hate them -
I'd rather lose to a very strong Premiership side than a underperforming lower league team tbh. Give him time, even the greatest manager couldn't come in and change a side like Liverpool. Christian Poulson and Raul Merieles are two of the worst players in the English league, we need to give chances to players like Shelbey, Pacheco and Stephen Kelly

i honestly think there is a lack of world class players. they are all good players, im not trying to say they arent, i just think that they have spent the money poorly.

i dont mean that dalglish is a bad manager or anything, but liverpool have 3 maybe 4 quality players and a lot of bad players. going to take a lot of investment to get them back to challenging for CL and then the title. -
Never.
They are shit. Hate to break it to ya.
They remind me of those people who just buy the most expensive clothes in the shop, then when they put it all on they just look like a cunt. -
I think Barca are going to win it. Messi is playing insane, on pace for >50 goals in all competitions. Their 5-0 against Real Madrid was the best display of football I've ever seen. (though, admittedly a small sample size since I only starting seriously following the sport a half decade ago.

1) How long do you think it will take?
2) Who do you think will win it this year?]
United could pip them though, for sure. I would say Real are my third favorite to win.
Spot fucking on. They have been so wasteful with their spending its sickening. In what world is Lescott worth ~20m? Is Toure worth >300k a week? Is Kolarov worth 19m? The list goes on and fucking on.
They spent 32m on Robinho, and sold him for 16m. They bought Roque for 17, and Blackburn are keen to buy him back. Very interested in seeing how big the City loss ends up being there. And Adebayor, if they sold him, what kind of loss would they experience on the 25m they paid?
The list could continue...
Though I will say Mancini was not a part of a lot of those decisions. And I think his buying in of Balotelli and Dzeko will be huge in the future. I think both of those guys, Dzeko particularly, will end up breathing in rarefied air.

Huge game Sunday. Would love to see Berba swing back into red hot form, and see Rooney finally start playing like he did last year. No more he's almost there, his fitness is great, his movement and energy were first rate, blah blah blah. Fucking start scoring goals man. Hernandez deserves a spot the way he has been finishing. Shrek needs to step it in championship gear. Its about that time. -
fuck ya'll...go spurs!!

they are in that upper echelon of the premier league now but the way they play makes me think its gonna be tough to win the league. im not gonna even get into the champions league. they have a defensive style. but you have to show something going forward in big games. they are way too content to just sort of pack it in, throw tevez up top and try to get something on the counter. obviously its mancini who is having them play like that, which you would expect from an italian coach . when i watch them in big premier league games they pretty much always take this approach. it can work. the tie against arsenal the other day was proof of that. mourinho did it with chelsea but chelsea had better players on defense and were stronger up top. they were stronger all around really. if they wanna win the league when they play teams like manchester united, chelsea and arsenal they are gonna have to at least attempt to win the game and not just always play for a point. i also think they could have done more with all the money they have spent. not results wise but as far as the players they have.
-
Im not sure that they will -- Chelsea splashed the cash, probably a lot wiser than City did and they never got there. They won a lot of silverware but the Champions League is a tough competition to win.
They need to start spending their money wisely if they intend to keep spending. They spent a ridiculous amount of money on Ade, but he dosen't even make the team the majority of the time. They have like 7 forwards that are all on silly wages. What they really need to do is figure out what their best 11 is and get some cohesion as a team. No one seems to be happy because they have so many egos and not enough minutes to go around.
Plus, no one really wants to be in Manchester... Carlos Tevez has the sickest contract ever. He has it written in that he has to be the highest paid player on the team, so if anyone gets a raise or they bring in a new player, he automatically gets bumped up to an equal salary. How can you possibly want out of that situation.
One thing they do have going for them is that they have become pretty consistent at the back. Any team that doesn't concede alot of goals will have a chance in any competition. It was frustrating to watch as an Arsenal fan but they did a pretty good job of antifootball last week at the Emirates. Thats something that could actually get them past a team like Barcelona in the CL thats just better on the ball. Although, Barca are probably 10x better in the final third than Arsenal so its probably not a valid comparison. None of the Arsenal players seem keen to actually shoot the ball unless their passing it in after a 14 pass sequence. /end Arsenal fan rant. -
Here's a little wager for you, Manc . . . I will wager that Toronto FC will win the MLS Cup BEFORE Manchester City Football Club wins the Champions League.
-
leeds for the FA cup!
-
Ooooooo
-
I would say that there is probably more chance they win the cl before they win the premiership. It takes less consistency and the way they play could work against a lot of teams in the CL.
-
I'm not a Man City fan, I'm just saying, they have more potential than many other clubs.
