Why should we treat them better than they treat us?
because WE'RE . . . NOT. . . THEM!
You fucking morons. -
if you brainwash some guys and turn them into killing machines then you might have to deal with them pissing on some corpses.
what they did is really wrong and fucked up though. -
Not likely . . . I have a couple friends who have done tours in Afghanistan, and 1 who served in Rwanda when the genocide happened there. I have heard enough first hand details of some pretty fucked up shit to last me a lifetime. I have been blessed that I never had to do so during my service.

not sure why this is all I think of when someone mentions pissing on someone...
-
hope this isn't a repost

“The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine Corps Hymn without a teleprompter.
“As for everyone else, unless you have been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth, war is hell.”

I'm just afraid that if we fight them too fiercely they might try to attack our homeland and kill our civilians.

That's a dumb statement. Doubt many commanders have been shot at by the taliban. Doubt the Commander in Chief has. That statement implies that the very citizens who are supposed to run the military should just shut up when it comes to the military. Other than that I agree with what you posted.

Because our commanders are randoms off the street with no previous military experience

That wasn't a qualification for being able to speak in the statement I quoted.

The top ranking JAG NCO and Warrant officer were killed in Iraq. The non-linear battlefield exposes all in combat zone to relatively high levels of danger.

Some guy did put a few rounds into the Commander in Chief's house a few months back tho.

As for the West quote, it may have been broad, but the people it was directed know who they are. -
I just think "warning" citizens to not comment on human rights violations perpetrated by our military seems a bit Orwellian to me.

Ah Slim. Your hate America schtick never gets old. I can't think of any difference between targeting the WTC full of civilans versus targeting a building full of terrorists. Wars have collateral damage by the way. We go out of our way to limit it. The enemy specifically targets civilians. If you can't see the difference I feel sad for you.

He was just stating his opinion in a less than eloquent way that some people comment on things they know little about. I didn't take it as a warning, more of a "shut up", as in learn more about the subject before you speak. I think he agrees that the conduct was bad as he has even suggested a punishment, but probably not as severe as many people would like.
