  1. This is a linear programming constraint, need to plot two points on a graph to make a line

    3X-8Y ≤ 0

First point is obviously at (0,0). How do I figure out the second point?
  2. first you have to finish the 8th grade. if that doesn't work, offer money.

this is not a line you are defining.
  4. x=1, y=50,000,000

  5. there is no "second" point.
  6. (1, 3/8)
  7. 1000,375 though since this is an inequality qjuice is doin' work also.

  8. I hate to be the one to tell you, but if you're already having problems on what looks to be day 1 of a linear programming class, it's not going to go well from here.
  9. 8 and 3, duh

  10. Is this for cost accounting?

Omg lol can't believe I didn't get that, obviously plug in an arbitrary number and solve for y to get 0, thanks

  12. Looks like its going to be a tough semester lol
  13. This is one of those questions you look at, think for a minute, look at it again and ask yourself "is this really a question"? Then for about 10 seconds think that you've lost your mind.

  14. you don't bury the survivors.
  15. ^ yes you're right lol I tried to do that for this constraint but it didn't work

    6x-5y ≤ 0

So for the above it would be (1,6/5)? If so I must have copied something wrong on my notes cause the answer I wrote for that one had y as 2.5 which is what is confusing the fuck out of me

I hate math, this is for Operations and Project Management class, I'm a goddamn marketing major though

again it's an INEQUALITY, any answers that give you LESS THAN 0 are acceptable. if you want to make it an equation than just use the y coefficient for x and vice-versa.

  18. I think he gets that since he said it was linear programming. he was just asking how to find the equation of the line bounding it.

I'm taking Operations Management this summer too, except mine is all case studies and no math (which sucks since one of my dual majors is math). How the fuck did that happen? Although...

This happened to me too. I thought about OP for at least 5 minutes thinking this had to be a trick question before realizing it was just as simple as I thought it was 4 minutes and 58 seconds ago.
