-
wtf rockets, what in the fuck.
-
the kings would do that???
edit:
The Houston Rockets, in an abrupt late twist to their long-running efforts to trade Tracy McGrady, have reached an agreement in principal with the Sacramento Kings to acquire coveted guard Kevin Martin, ESPN.com has learned.
Martin was pulled from the second half of the Kings' game Wednesday night at Golden State in anticipation of the trade, sources said.
Although the details of the complete construction of the trade could not immediately be confirmed, sources said that it's possible that the deal could be expanded into a three-way trade that lands Rockets guard Tracy McGrady with the New York Knicks before Thursday's 3 p.m. trading deadline.
One source with knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com that McGrady will either end up with the Kings or the Knicks by the deadline to bring Martin to Houston after Sacramento refused trade interest in the high-scoring guard for weeks.

Reason 6643 why the NBA is a complete joke -- deals like this are allowed
-
gtolaregoyajtohjaerhg the rockets tilt me aetihjateiohjrtibwj
-
wow Rockets just got a hell of a deal if you ask me (considering McGrady has 1-2 years left in him).
-
lol why would the kings trade a budding young superstar for someone so washed up, injury prone, overpayed, and overrated??
-
Until we have more to go on, that looks like the deal:
Kings get: T-Mac, Carl Landry and Joey Dorsey
Rockets get: Kevin Martin, Kenny Thomas, Hilton Armstrong and Sergio Rodriguez
this is what i have seen -
The Sacramento Kings are in advanced talks with the Houston Rockets on a trade that will swap Kevin Martin(notes) for Tracy McGrady(notes), league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Along with Martin, the Kings will send Sergio Rodridguez, Hilton Armstrong(notes) and Kenny Thomas(notes) to the Rockets. Joey Dorsey(notes) and Carl Landry(notes) will go to the Kings.
from Yahoo sports... curious to see if Knicks get involved since it's obvious they were interested in T-Mac. Regardless, this is a highway robbery for the Rockets if you ask me. -
so hilton armstrong has been traded twice this yr: for a 2016 draft pick and for tracy mcgrady.

march 3rd will be interesting.

looks like the rockets got the good part of the deal to me. they dont even play mcgrady.
-
So if I read this right:
-tmac456 is now either a kings or knicks fan.
-ronkarkovice is still the worst fan in the world.
--and all those teams involved are still going nowhere.
go nuggets! -
landry's a stud. shoulda kept him, imo
-
I don't get your reasoning. If the trade stands as is the Rockets benefit greatly in the future... the only thing perplexing about the deal is why they'd make such a huge move when they're in a tight race for this year's playoffs. Admit it, McGrady's career is nearing it's end (and he wasn't playing another game for the Rockets anyways).
Landry is the big piece of the deal and I sense that you're more upset about the Rockets trading him, but in Martin you get a solid, young scoring guard who has lots of years ahead of him barring any injuries. And Sergio Rodriguez isn't too shabby either... just my opinion. -
As a Kings fan I am very happy about the trade. After last nights debacle, I am glad he is gone.
-
Every single time i have watched Landry played i have been impressed.
The kings were almost a 500 team when martin got healthy and someone they were last year kings again.
So i see this as a great thing for the kings -
as it stands right now (i think this has to be a 3team unless the rockets are retarded, which theyre ususally not), the kings raped houston. mcgradys a fuckin 22.5 million expiring contract. and landry is better than kevin martin, and a lott cheaper. i dont think martins a good fit with houston either.

some sites reporting that if they cannot get a 3rd team, kings will prolly buy out mcgrady's contract and he will be eligible to sign with a team... wonder where he'll go if that scenerio goes down
-
yeah this makes sense. I agree that Landry is a baller and a budding star and that Martin might not mesh well w/ the Rockets but he's still a top 10 or 15 player in the league when healthy (maybe it's just me though). If Martin puts up similar numbers in Houston then Rockets rape this trade, especially if they keep Martin long term.
