  1. It has taken for ever to finish counting all the early and provisional ballots, but it looks like they are finally calling it a win for Prop 203 in Arizona.

This is huge. We literally trailed the whole election and up until today. We got it down to 725 votes behind earlier today, than up 4500 ahead about an hour ago. Not too many more ballots to count.

This is way huge for us!

  20. about once a year I smoke weed and try very hard to enjoy it. This is mostly because my friends who smoke love it more than I love anything and I feel like I have must have missed something the other 100 times I've smoked. Also because its become clear that I'm just a shitty drinker so it would be nice to be able to just get stoned at parties without having to deal with the fallout of my drunken behavior the next day.

  23. the pdf of the proposition is here: http://www.azsos.gov/election/2010/g.../I-04-2010.pdf

page 4 has the list of medical conditions that let you get medical marijuana. it's pretty much only in the most extreme of cases (cancer, AIDS, hep C)

    3. "DEBILITATING MEDICAL CONDITION" MEANS ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:
    (a) CANCER, GLAUCOMA, POSITIVE STATUS FOR HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS, ACQUIRED IMMUNE DEFICIENCY SYNDROME, HEPATITIS C, AMYOTROPHIC LATERAL SCLEROSIS, CROHN'S DISEASE, AGITATION OF ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE OR THE TREATMENT OF THESE CONDITIONS.
    (b) A CHRONIC OR DEBILITATING DISEASE OR MEDICAL CONDITION OR ITS TREATMENT THAT PRODUCES ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING: CACHEXIA OR WASTING SYNDROME; SEVERE AND CHRONIC PAIN; SEVERE NAUSEA; SEIZURES, INCLUDING THOSE CHARACTERISTIC OF EPILEPSY; OR SEVERE AND PERSISTENT MUSCLE SPASMS, INCLUDING THOSE CHARACTERISTIC OF MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS.
    (c) ANY OTHER MEDICAL CONDITION OR ITS TREATMENT ADDED BY THE DEPARTMENT PURSUANT TO SECTION 36-2801.01.

  26. you're probably right, but i'm not confident they're going to interpret "chronic pain" very loosely
