Meduim tv suggestions

    I looking for something in the range of 25 to 35 inches doesnt have to be that great as i want to get a larger tv down the line just want something to tie me over for a bit then give to my mom when i upgraydd. At this size i assume 720p will be adequate

    So what contrast ratio should i be looking for so i can actually see the damn picture.

    Any help would be appreciated
