    What a joke...at least Dubya gave us $600 in a lump sum..this $13 a week is in the form of a tax credit and only if you make less than 75K annually. Loose change we can believe in. WP Sir.

    But Nancy Pelosi's salt water marsh mice get 30 million in San Francisco Bay.

    I'll check my paycheck in a few weeks and I guarantee it wont change a dime.. This 13 dollar a week figure is a mirage.

    but a 789 billion stimulus package is all pork even though 33 percent of it is tax cuts.

    If Obama came up with a 789 billion stimulus package that was all tax cuts, it would be 39 a week.

    Would that be the answer to our current woes or are tax cuts not really enought to help our economy?

    Tax cuts per individual will not be enough (see Bush rebate). However, a permanent tax cuts to businesses would be enough to get them hiring again.

    A tax cut to say....0%

    EDIT: And giving the people $13 per week is much better in terms of stimulus than a lump sum. A lump sum is more likely to be saved or used towards existing debt. Individualized payments (like $13) are less likely to be saved and more likely to be spent in the market.
