    I played catcher all throughout High School and it sucks to get run over, Barrett played it like a bitch. I think AJ handled himself great. I guess when you are a cubs fan you have been a bitch so long you don't mind someone sucker punching for you. Almost makes up for 100 years of nothing.

    The best part is Barrett hit AJ with his best shot and all it did was have AJ back up 2 steps. What a pussy. I played catcher in High School like beanie said, but I was 5'10 145lbs and when you get in that situation when someone is going to run you over, you have to get low, and put BOTH hands on the ball. From what I remember, Barrett looked like he was standing straight up and had terrible form. Look what happened earlier in the week when that little bitch Posada got run over my Texiteria and he held on the the ball. Plain in simple....Barrett sucks and now can be called a pussy

    i think barret had just seen AJ on TNA wrestling and wanted to see if he could take a real punch, what really bothers me is that AJ didnt immediately powerbomb barret followed by ozzie guillen leaping from a ladder to deliver a crushing elbow drop through a table

    you know what, you're right, he hadn't. i thought he had caught the ball and dropped it like a puss. however, i feel that barrelling into a catcher who's waiting for a throw, ESPECIALLY when you're a catcher too, is awful. AJ deserved it. oh, and i hate him, so i can't really not side with barrett.

    How does one sucker punch a man when the man being sucker punched walked the opposite direction of his dugout after scoring(don't give me that he was getting his helmet shit because that is what bat boys are for), purposely walked into barrett, and best of all they stared at each other for a few seconds before he punched him. So exactly what is a true definition of a sucker punch?

    For all the people saying that was a sucker punch, don't you have to hit someone when they aren't looking for that to apply? You guys are way off about Barrett, he is a class guy(I would know, I know his cousins fiance's sister. We went to summer camp together 15 years ago) that got caught up in the heat of the game.

    I didn't see the play, so I am not sure what happened. This much I can say, if I'm coming into home with a chance to score. The catcher is standing between me and the plate. He's getting knocked on his azz. When I have played catcher and the play is at home. I put myself between the runner and home plate, I expect to get run over. It's part of the game!

    FIRST OFF, I caught in high school as well and where in the fuck could you plow the catcher like that. I know it was illegal in KY and even if you did have someone run over you it wasn't a big dude like that, it was probably a 6 ft, 160 lb puss, so you can't compare what happened in fucking high school to this play.

    The punch may have been uncalled for but AJ walked DIRECTLY TOWARD Barrett!!! If he expected to walk directly toward him (and give him the shoulder lean)with no consequences then he is smoking something. AJ instigated the incident and Barrett got caught up and punched him.
