    Does anyone who lives in Michigan know of any elementary teaching jobs open in Michigan? My girlfriend has been struggling to find a teaching job and has her teaching license.

    nope! Most new grads have to go out of state. I got a few FB friends who are all teaching out of state. It sucks, but we were the only state to lose population in this last census. Most of that is due to the declining birth rate here.

    gl if she wants to teach elementary and has her concentration in english or history...

    better chances if she wanted to teach high school and had a concentration in math or science (i would assume)
