  2. Either is brutal in right, I'm really surprised Upton didn't win considering how awesome he was this year. But I can't really see anything to get worked up about.
  3. Seems standard to me
  4. I think the coaches get together and vote in one very bad defender just to drive internet nerds crazy. matt kemp was this years choice.
  5. looks like they finally learned how to vote on gold gloves lol. No complaints other than maybe ethier. Gardner prolly coulda got it in left, but gordons great too.
  6. Tulo ftw
  7. Kemp? LOL. I swear the Gold Glove is an offensive award sometimes. Gardner, Bourjos, and Alexei Ramirez got snubbed btw.

  9. Really thought the Cubs were gonna salvage their season and take the majority of these, fuck.
  10. - dodger fan and even i think JUp should get it over Ethier...fine with Kemp and Kersh deserves it.
    - agree with gamma on bourjos or austin jackson over ellsbury and alexi over aybar.
    - didn't know gordon was that good defensively?
    - everything else looks fine to me.

  12. Jay Bruce also should have got it over Ethier. Ramirez and Gardner got snubbed in the AL.
And lol at Kemp winning it.

yah who did the Doyers suck off to get Kemp/Ethier gold gloves?
  14. Pretty ridiculous how good the AL is at CF. Austin Jackson, Bourjos, Ellsbury, and Gutierrez all make Kemp look silly defensively in CF.

Young, Maybin, McCutchen, and Victorino were all more deserving than Kemp.

  15. Yah Victorino's 1/2 season in CF is better than basically anybody else...
  16. Even I lol'd at ethier...c'mon...typo???

Do you know how stupid you look making this statement?

    Do your homework.

When he has more DRS than Kemp, then yeah.

What is that link supposed to show me?

Kemp had a -4.4 UZR and 1 DRS this season. None of the players I listed had negative UZR's and they had higher DRS last season. Again, what is that link supposed to show me?

Yeah, Jeter will getting GGs ten years after he's dead and buried-great teammate and guy, etc, but how the fuck does he have five GGs in his career?

I'm not totally sold on Aybar at short, but anything's better than another year of absurdity at that slot...

Gardner got jobbed in LF, says this Red Sox fan, and I don't believe Ellsbury should have won; then again, it's well known that this award is heavily weighted towards offensive players. Bourjos should have taken CF down in the AL.

Markakis in RF in the AL is almost comical- I'd like to see him playing right in Fenway. He wouldn't be half the right fielder JD Drew is, overpaid though the latter was.
  20. Gardner the MLB leader in UZR by a good margin, seems like a decently-sized snub.
  21. How many errors did Maybin have?

How many assists did Maybin have?

How many DP did Maybin have?

    What is Maybins ZR?

When you finish answering those.....rinse and repeat with Kemp.

Then tell me Maybin is better than Kemp in the OF.

And sure..Victorino had Zero errors...he also had Zero assists and Zero DP.

If you want to argue that Markakis shouldnt have got a GG Im cool with that and you could probably make an argument there. However, there is no way it is more difficult to play RF in Fenway than it is in Camden with the giant scoreboard and the weird crease that is foul territory. Markakis has perfected playing balls off of the scoreboard in right and holding players to a long single or gunning them out at second.

  23. assists are completely arbitrary
  24. Is this the first year they specified OF position rather than just 3 outfielders?
  25. The dogers might have the cy young winner, the mvp winner, and 3 gold gloves

And were still no where near the playoffs lol

I think they also take into consideration the Assists and DPs, etc. Not just Errors. Obv...Kemp had 5. Braun will get his awards...guys a stud.
