Mothers day gift

    What should my 2 year old son get for his mom? I was kinda thinking diamonds (she'll pretty much have too) but if I do that then she will expect diamonds for every fucking little gift giving occasion. I was also thinking dick in a box but I think this is the wrong holiday for that. Roses?

    WTF. I am new to this. I suck enough at getting gifts for people from me but this is from my son.

    Good ideas?

    maybe some lilies?

    i wouldn't do diamonds. maybe just some flowers and cook her a nice dinner, and you do the dishes and stuff. just give her a day off :)

    edit: don't forget a card!! if you're son can draw have him "make" one

    diamonds for mother's day esp. from a 2 year old is ridiculous.

    i got my mom a card and sent her a book i just finished and really enjoyed.

    go with something simple just to show your appreciation for all she does. sometimes i think a thank you card is better than a mother's day card.

    I got this for my mom for Mother's Day of my brothers and I. It's a pretty funny gift and fitting since my youngest brother is leaving the nest this summer for college and she won't have any more kids at home.

    Most mothers would like:

    Breakfast in bed on a tray with a rose bud vase. Let the little one "help".

    A gift certificate for a spa.

    Flowers.

    Definitely a card from the 2-year-old and one from you.

    The day "off" from routine household stuff - that means you do it.

    buy a blank sheet cookie and some squeezable frosting. watch the fun. it will look like a medical accident but the wife will think its cute.

    1. Go to Walmart

    2. Buy Standard White Dinner Plate

    3. Buy <insert 2 year-old's favorite color here>

    4. Go home

    5. Crack open the paint
    6. Pour some on paper plate
    7. Get 2 year-old
    8. Put 2 year-old's hands in plate, remove excess paint before step 9

    9. Place 2 year-old's hand on Standard White Dinner Plate, hold firm
    10. Let dry in hiding place (oven if she doesn't cook, for example)

    11. Give Standard White Dinner Plate to her on Sunday
