  1. So my job is relocating me to Cinci. I'm pretty sure I will be living in the Fairfield area and I had a couple questions for local OTers.

    1. Where is the best place to watch football on Sundays?

    2. I haven't been to Kings Island in like 10 years. Is it worth going before it gets too cold outside?

    3. What are the best/closest card rooms for 1/2 or 2/5 NL?

Any other info about night life, attractions, or anything else would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!
  2. GL have fun..i spent like 4 days there by the UC campus. definately wayy different at nite, there is a big hill there and we were told don't go over it past a certain time. Campus is nice to walk around though during the day..

Hey man, I graduated from UC and currently reside there.

1.) I'm not real sure tbh. There are u're typical B-dubs and such and a few bars downtown, but usually we just hit up a B-dubs to watch.

2.) Kings Island is probably worth it. They added a bunch new rides since you've been there (unfortunatley son of beast is closed now), but Firehawk, Diamondback, Outer Limits, Face Off are probably all new that you haven't seen. Of course The Beast is still there, which makes the park worth it.

3.) Closest cardrooms would be Hollywood Casino (fka Argosy). Then Belterra and Grand Victoria are a bit further. Hollywood is prob 20 min from Fairfied, right down 275 to I-74.

Shoot me a PM if you wanna discuss in more detail.

    Welcome to the city.

lol @ the hill comment. Over the Rhine is the heavy ghetto.

    1. don't know much about the fairfield area, probably a few sports bars around.

    2. i had season pass this year, definitely worth it. I think it may be closed now except for weekends which will be crowded, wait til May and go before the kids get out of school and there are no lines for rides.

    3. like UCBananaBoy said, Hollywood Casino has decent room for this area(used to be Argosy), Belterra never has a game running when I go there so within 2 hrs I think Hollywood is only real option.

plenty of places to go out around Cincy - Mt Adams, Mt Lookout, Downtown, Covington, Newport Levee. Clifton apparently but I stay away from UC/that area.

  5. best sports bars i would say are downtown, only one i can think of off the top of my head is gameday cafe. checkout mt adams, mt lookout, newport, mainstrauss.
  6. For something closer to Fairfield, check out a place called the Back Porch Saloon. Not sure what it like during the day for football watching, but at night they have a huge outdoor bar area and 4 cornhole setups.

Also, make sure you go to Jungle Jim's market in Fairfield, the most insane selection of beer, wine, and food from all over the world that you will ever see.
  7. whatever you do get drunk, and go to papadinos with some friends in clifton and get the cheese fries with bacon+ranch. worlds greatest drunk food.
  8. Random but if u are a sushi fan, Teak Thai in Mt Adams ftw

Having 4 choices to get my ass cornholed does not seem like a big selling feature.

seriously I have no clue what a cornhole setup is but it sounds painful.
