  1. Quite possibly my favorite movie of all time.

Is there anyone else out there that really took to this movie?

I found it to be brilliantly complex - there are so many puzzles, layers, and interconnecting storylines - it all makes sense if you figure it out.

The cinematography, haunting soundtrack, imagery - awesome!!

Roger Ebert even devoted a whole week long course to it!

Certainly no shortgage of awards, nominations and critical acclaim.

So what is it then? Why can't I find anyone else who likes this movie?
  2. Great lesbian scene. And Watts masterbating while crying her eyes out - just the way I do.

  3. If it makes you feel any better, a lot of people at my movie forum (rottentomatoes) love it just as much as you do. A lot of people also hate it. I'm pretty much in the middle - I don't hate it, but it's also not one of my favourites.

  4. Well it wouldn't be my favorite movie of all time...but it was interesting and provocative...Nick Nolte is usually very good at anything he stars in....Chaz Palminteri was also very good in a supporting role....
  5. LOL....no, that's OK....most of the stuff I really like nobody cares for anyway, so it's nothing new to me.

    I just don't get it, that's all....

  12. It's in my top 10... probably Lynch's best followed closely by Blue Velvet.
  13. Well, what I'm saying is, there are PLENTY of people out there who love the movie. You are just looking in the wrong places I guess.

I would guess the biggest reason people dislike it is the fact that it requires a handbookk with 100 pages in order for anybody to understand it. I LOVE to think during movies, and it was even a bit much for me. Imagine how people who don't like to think (I would say the majority) during movies felt.

  14. Alright Sooted!! I agree with you - although I'd have to put Wild at Heart as #2.

Have you seen Inland Empire yet? Not sure when that's coming out in my area, or DVD, etc...

  18. I haven't seen it yet and I really try to avoid reading much into it for obvious reasons.

I kinda live in the boonies so I'm not expecting a theatre date soon.

Hoping for a dvdscreener release :)
  19. Mulholland Drive is one of my favorite movies of all time. I loved making all the connections the first time through. Visually too the movie is stunning.
  20. Woo-hoo! Some luv for Mulholland Drive!!! Couldn't agree more.
