    <SPAN>These photos were taken a few miles from Ketchum, Idaho and about 10 miles north of my home.<SPAN> </SPAN>It is the Castle Rock fire and has grown to over 12,000 acres.<SPAN> </SPAN>I have lots of friends that have been told to evacuate their homes.<SPAN> </SPAN>The experts say that the Castle Rock fire could burn until the first snow falls.<SPAN> </SPAN>. Fortunately no structures have burned and no one has been hurt.<SPAN> </SPAN>Every morning the smoke is unbearable and<SPAN> </SPAN>my little boy (4.5 years old) says, Daddy, I think the fire is getting closer.<SPAN> </SPAN>I can only tell him that we are safe and hope for rain!!!

    I used to spend a lot of time in Sun Valley, wow, I hadn't heard about this.

    What part of the state is that? My wife's family lives in Moscow, ID, and we just got back from vacation in Lowell. We wanted to go camping but the smoke was so bad, we just stayed in a cabin. Still really pretty though.

    Hope it clears up soon.

    i live in warm springs, 1 block from the mandatory evacuation zone. been waiting for 4 days to be told to leave. seems like we aren't going anywhere now, but i heard the fire is going in different directions now.

    So crazy how in one part of the US we're sandbagging our doors, and pumping water out of our basements, and in another part theres forests on fire in dire need of water.
