    I like this show and watch it a lot, but wtf were they thinking? They're supposed to be professionals and somehow decided it would be safe to shoot a cannonball within a short distance of a city.

    They were at the bomb range they always blow shit up at and they had police supervision. They clearly didn't expect for this to happen. I read somewhere that the cannonball hit an embankment and bounced off in the opposite direction of where they were shooting it and towards the houses behind them.

    In March of 2005 the Utah Department ofTransportation was doing avalanche control in Provo Canyon with a 105 mm howitzer. Put too high of an increment on the propellant of a round and ended up putting a crater in a back yard and spraying 3 houses and a car with shrapnel. At 3:00 in the afternoon. Some of the shrapnel went just over the head of a kid laying on the floor watching TV.
