  1. W000000000000t, sup dawg! Funny sidenote btw, we know his birthday, since we got him from a basenji kennel for like $500 and had already planned on the dog of which two dogs we wanted etc, anyway his birthday was December 24th. Lolz.

Was just testing out my new camera I got like an hour ago for $379 at best buy (it was $20 off).

    This was my old camera:

and this is my new camera!!!:

It has 20X OPTICAL ZOOM!!!!!!!!! (NOT A TYPO!!!!)

    Check it out:

These 3 pics are all taken from the same exact place. The first two show off my camera on no-zoom versus full 20x optical zoom, and then the 3rd pic shows when I zoom in even further on my laptop, since its a 10 megapixel cam, so you can abuse that even a little to go even further if you just digitally zoom on the computer.

pretty insane zoom ability, considering I was standing still in the exact same place for all 3 of those pics.

    I can't wait to use it at the beach :) :) :) :)

    It's a Canon SX10IS 10mp 20xoptical superzoom

I was going to buy a dslr instead, but, I decided that although a dslr takes considerably higher quality pics than the sx10is point-and-shoot can and only costs about $100 more at $500, the problem is that I would end up having to spend like 2 or 3 thousand dollars on lenses for it, so in reality it would be only $500 for a dslr but really be like $3k+ when you factor lenses into account. So I figured it would be smarter for me not to get the dslr until at the very least I am not all physically crippled like I am now, so that I can actually go clim hills in the wilderness and be able to take cool pictures with it, and actually take advantage of its awesomeness. So for now I just went with the pointandshoot canon superzoom instead. It's still a pretty sick camera though, even though it isn't a dslr. I think it might even be able to take RAW-mode pics, though I'm not 100% sure, which means that if I can figure out how to get it to auto-bracket in RAW mode I could theoretically make some HDR's, which would be pretty sick. Not to mention you seriously cannot even DO 20x zoom on a dslr, no matter how crazy of a lense you buy for it. Cuz even a huge telephoto zoom lens that would cost many thousands of dollars for a dslr would still only get up to maybe 300mm or something, which would only be like 18x zoom or something in conversion, and that lens would seriously be the size of my dog. It's cuz dslr's have MUCH bigger sensors, so the focal point has to converge to a much wider sensor so thus proportionately the lens has to be that much wider to produce the same zoom as a pointandshoot. So as far as zooming goes, my camera actually rapes the dslr's. But as far as image quality, obv it isn't quite as good, but still obviously not too horrible.
