maybe the worst officiated game I've seen since shaq left the lakers.
they can try to rig it all they want for miami, still no chance vs. the spurs. -
Edited By: skisteve May 31st, 2012 at 04:56 AMIs that a phrase meaning the nba will try to rig the calls the other direction for a game?Originally Posted by Skyroller

Edit: Followed by a super shady effort in a game 4 Miami win.
Truth is this happens all year so at least they are consistent. (Insert random lakers clip here.)
Agree on edit also. "Gotta maximize ratings at least one game further. Maybe two."- refs lockeroom.
Reason: and im mildly hoping for the heat just because. -
The real question is, how long can Chalmers and Haslem play like this?

H E A mofuggin T. (really not sure if we can beat the spurs tho...)

The comment wasn't even about the calls on Pierce, it was more a reference to a long history of refs going out of their way to avoid calling a foul on Lebron. The noncall on Rondo was definately a gamechanger. he was 10-12 at the line and instead of getting 2 free throws in a tied game its a fast break 2 points the other way.

"As a PG you have to understand what your team needs"
That is what makes Magic the greatest PG ever -
you know what really grinds my gears.
NBA coaches need to teach these players how to foul correctly. even our NBA superstars dont know the art of fouling. They dont know when or how.
how pathetic is the art of the obvious foul in the NBA?
how sick are you of watching dunkers get cheap shotted while PGs get easy layups.
the "playoff foul" used to be a term that meant something. these guys have no idea what that means. all I see are cheap shots or bitch fouls that dont serve their purpose.
fucking fundamentals. get that shit right -
miami shot almost 50 free throws. nothing egregious about that.
its just the timing of the no calls / shady calls that really make me believe the nba is actively trying to get lebron to the finals. that staredown from wade was a technical if its pierce doing it to lebron. that rondo no call never happens if its wade.
i agree w skyroller about games 3+4 -
Wade hit him the face tho, so what does it have to do with Lebron? Wade gets far more leeway, so focus your point at the right place.

I know we do this every night, but christ, this ESPN NBA postgame is horrific.
-
The reason Miami shoots more free throws is because they have the 2 best drivers on the planet. A team with Wade and James are going to shoot more free throws than any team, especially against an old team full of jumpshooters.
-
2 seperate points. let me walk you through it.
1. Lebron gets kiddie gloves from the refs. If Pierce got the same treatment, the refs mighta found a way to keep him in the game.
2. The noncall on Rondo just happened to be the most critical mistake of the game by the refs, and essentially led to a 4 point swing in MIA's favor.
bonus round: MIA 49. BOS 29. Yawn -
what does being jump shooters have to do with the number of fouls? every time u post in this thread i want to fucking smack you cuz u make no goddamn sense. fuck off
-
im not saying the refs rigged it against the celtics, but they missed a lot of fucking calls for whatever the reason. FUCK EVERY BODY. fact is, celtics lost because they got fucking trucked in the 3rd quarter and didn't play a complete game. If they had played half way decent in the third they win the fucking game. And pietrus is a fucking retard.
-
you really think a team full of jump shooters are going to shoot the same number of free throws as a team full of drivers?
-
Agree it was a game changer, but calls get missed all the time. It's amazing how no one complains that Jordan getting every call, but everyone complains about Lebron. Jordan's famous "shot" against the jazz was the worst offensive foul I've ever seen. Fact is, all star players get calls.

Was an unbelievable performance from Rondo

He has to shoot that 15 foot wide open jump shot every time. Makes that he is unstoppable -
yeah i know what he's saying, when i read i just wanted to smack the fuck out of him and for some reason thought he meant they fouled a lot because they''re old slow jump shooters. whatever fuck u 2

I haven't talked basketball in a while but is it the consensus these days that rondo > any of the "big 3"? I feel like it's been that way for a good while now. I used to rant at ppl who put him in their top 5 PGs but nowadays it's pretty tough to dispute. One of the most exciting to watch players in the league too imo and I fucking hate the celtics.
dude stfu -
series is fucking over tho, no way they can win 4 outta 5 vs these guys... this game was a must win. pissed at myself and the world for letting me get my hopes up for a win... i hate games like this, part of being a big time fan tho.

Sports make me so miserable sometimes, wonder why I even watch in the first place
