  1. Beating Bdubbs to the punch... should be a good couple of games tonight. Bulls v Celtics is usually a must watch, Esp After Noah's comments about KG, Also the Savior that is Carlos Boozer is in the line up for the Bulls tonight.

The night cap is the main even tho. Both Jazz and Mavs are riding 7 game winning streaks and both have Two legit MVP canidates carrying their team right now.

Should be fun, The NBA is on another level this year. The west is just loaded from top to bottom, Just to give you an example the Thunder are 13-6 right now and are holding on to the 6th seed in the West, yet they are 3 games out of first place. The East has so many story lines starting with the Heat, the Celtics adding the O'neals to an already loaded team, Orlando is 14-4 and are almost an after thought this year..

Anyways post predictions, analysis and in game comments here, lets get the NBA discussion rolling.....

  6. I will be tuning in tonight, should be a great battle in Utah.... Mavs are hot.

  7. Glenn Davis is can be such a momentum killer, it's either feast or famine with this fat bastard!
  8. Game is going to come down to Utah containing Dirk, plain and Simple...We will prolly start off with Millsap on him but im sure we will give AK a few looks as well.

This Stat is all you need to know....

Dallas is 3-0 in its last 10 trips to EnergySolutions Arena when Dirk Nowitzk scores 29 points. The Mavericks are 0-7 in Utah when Nowitzki scores fewer than 29.

yeah but I think the last 5 are of part of the 0-7 and they haven't been close... Jazz have owned them in Utah lately. The fact that the Mavs have been playing well and starters didn't have to play many minutes Wed night are pluses... I think this will be a good game. I would have to bet Utah -4 if I was wagering though.

  10. I think I'm gonna name my second son Rajon.

  11. Is Jason Kidd still hittin that?
  12. lol icwudt

Not sure why we gave Elison significant minutes in the 1st Quarter, he had a bunch of silly turnovers. Get Sap back in the game plz

Edit: Keep elison in there, nice finish on the oop. LOL @ Hubie calling Fes a diamond in the rough, was gonna give him a quarter or two just to get a different perspective on the Jazz but i might have to switch over to the local guys.

  13. The Celtics are really good. With Garnett healthy and attacking the rim, if Shaq can continue the production that he is giving and if Perkins comes back healthy, I think they'll beat LA in 6 this year.

  14. Millsap having one of his worst games of the season =( At first glance it looks like both teams are having a poor Offensive night but i think its more of a testiment to how both teams have drastically improved on the Defensive end this season. Utah is 2nd in the NBA in opponent FG%.

As i say that Dirk is starting to heat up...

  15. Mavs defense is vastly improved this year... Butler is much more integrated than after the mid-season trade last season. When Roddy Beaubois comes back and gives them an additional explosive scorer, they really have the potential to go all the way this season.

  16. Yeah big swing there with the D Will charge call and then Kidd knocking down two 3's. Hopefully Utah can make a run with Dirk on the bench..

Wow GG, havent seen the Jazz play this bad since the 2nd game of the season. Give Dallas credit they played some great D to start the 4th. Not sure wtf Sloan's doing with this Silly line up, lets see if they can make a run....

  17. yeah, I think it's a combination of strong Mavs D and Jazz not bringing their A-game tonight... some nights that just happens, to every team. I'm not familiar with Sloan's rotations so no comment on that.... obv not over yet but momentum still with Dallas.

I stayed away from the game, almost took Mavs +1 for 2nd half but passed. I did take Under 96.5 for second half, which means I'll be sweating a 178.5 under for final... should be close.

  18. Yeah Sloan just pulled Deron out of the game because he had a few bad turnovers and was forcing some shots, very uncharistic of him. IT was a bad loss but im not too worried, i think it was just one of those bad games. We had won 7 in a row coming in including a big win v LA @ home.

Very Imressed with Dallas though, Yeah Utah had a bad game but your Defense had alot to do with it. I personally dont think your PG play is that big of a weakness(which was discussed in the power ranking thread) and your front court seems very solitified with the Chandler/Heywood/Marion rotation. Oh and that Dirk guy is pretty good.

    GG Res.

  19. thanks man. Yeah, I don't think the PG play hurts at all, Kidd just has more of a complementary role than the premier guys, but nobody sets up players better than JKidd, and as Hubie pointed out, he's 5th all-time in 3pters made... he will knock those down as needed. I like having the veteran presence out there for this season - I figure he has this year and possibly 1 more season left.

And that Dirk under 29 streak ended... he had 26 tonight.
