Basically the only hope for the Nets to be relevant in the next 10 years is if Marshon Brooks and Damion James become good enough that the team is attractive enough to get a superstar player at some point because Dwight and Deron will be nowhere near the team next year.
-
Okur traded to the Nets for a 2nd round pick four years from now
-
Good move by the jazz, frees up minutes for their young studs.
-
at least they don't need to look for a change to the team name.
planning to call themselves the Brooklyn 2009 Jazz -
I dont know if they're a playoff team yet, BUT i ball out of control with them on 2k12, so that's got to be a good thing. Williams and Rubio make all the difference!
-
anyone have stats/know how often a 2nd round draft pick ends up being a starter/decent player? a guess would also be fine, cause i honestly have no idea...
-
The NBA draft is possibly the most inhibiting success route. Few drafted outside of the top ten have become stars, and almost all drafted in the second round rarely even see starter's minutes.

prolly one out of like 200

thanks for the article, yea clearly 2nd rounders usually don't amount too much when the best of them are Boozer, Redd, Arenas, Mo williams, monta ellis, Okur, marc gasol, ariza, scola, landry. and thats over the last ten years, damn. Not one real star in the bunch.

YEAH, prolly less than 1/200. That was a stupid estimate. Nick Van Exel was another good one. Arenas was a star before he stopped giving a fuck and Redd has the potential pre injuries. Surprising that Boozer fell to the 2nd round, wow.
