  2. I like Team Deitsch the best.

  3. Penny included with those other names is fairly cringeworthy

  4. lol @ not taking whatever team has Jordan
  5. I'll take Team Posnanski:

    Isaiah Thomas
    John Havlicek
    Julius Erving
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Wilt Chamberlain
  6. glad the TNT crew didn't do this for the ASG this year......
  7. Posnanski or Forrester would be my favorites...

    Forrester with

    Shaq
    Jerry West
    Walt Frazier
    Bob Pettit
and the human highlight film, Dominique!

yes. an "NBA ultimate draft" from sports illustrated has finally convinced me that reggie miller was much better than mitch richmond. this refutes every pro-mitch argument (that he had nowhere near the same amount of talent on his team as reggie did, that he made more all-star teams/more all-nba teams, that reggie's impact is overstated because of his games against the knicks, and so forth).

thank goodness for this article; with it, the mitch richmond fans don't have a leg to stand on.

  12. reggie was one of the best closers in basketball history. long live reggie

  13. my analysis: mannix is an idiot

i like this team the most as well (at least the starters)

and yeah mannix should lose his job after this lol
  16. Haaaaa. It was a joke as it seems whenever a basketball thread like this comes up reggie>>>>mitch or vice-versa always works its way in there. Figured I'd try and get it over w/ sooner than later. Fwiw, to me, its really close. I give Reggie the nod because Mitch Richmonds sister cant slam no roundball ya dig.
  17. Bill Walton 14th overall is unbelievable. This is a draft based on professional careers, Walton's pro career was short lived and nothing compared to his college days
  18. Deitsch's is also very good as others have said
  19. Dream, Duncan, KG sounds pretty unstoppable.
  20. i take my nba live '97 very seriously

  21. team diesch half court offense would seem kind of clogged...since they would just be slamming it into post with hakeem/duncan...meh although kg can drain from 17

im more interested in who people think is the worst team to

There is a season sim on the website, says Jack Mccallum's team did the worst, I would still rather have his team than mannix's
  23. It's incredibly frustrating that these guys all get paid to write about sports. Reggie Miller's draft spot, lol. Just lol.
  24. no love for team thomsen?

    bird, walton, drexler, nash, mourning

    the passing would be amazing

Agreed, really liked his team. Not huge on Mourning but I mean Bird/Walton/Nash is just insanely gross.
  26. lol Lebron 18th

I assume that the draft was based on the premise that you would get the dude at his best. Walton could absolutely ball prior to his feet giving up on him Walton pre-injury (I believe it was 77 or 78) was incredibly talented and we didn't have to listen to him talk during games (definition of win - win)
  30. mannix's team just further proves you can get a job writing about sports without knowing a thing about it.
