Yao's not on the roster fwiw, he got replaced by Kevin Love.
But I absolutely agree, someone needs to be bumped. Dude's the 5th-leading scorer in the NBA, he should probably start ffs. -
yah he got fucked.
-
because the west is stacked and there aren't enough spots to go around
-
It looks like it would be Manu or Monta
-
You can't just say he should be bumped, and then not say for who (I know op said gasol, so this is more directed at the other posts)
-
That could be a pretty good "why you mad tho" pic
-
gasol>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>monta

I agree
I say keep Gasol and then the only other player I think could be considered is Manu, who I'm not bumping, so I think the team is perfect. -
This
and this, except I don't think he is a bum just not great -
Popovich: "Ellis? I saw his stats were from Golden State. Looked like pretty decent numbers from a college I've never even heard of. But, he probably doesn't face very good defense at that level. Kid might be able to make it in the pros someday."
-
lol, level??
There is no way Odom or Gasol is >>>>> over Ellis. At least not this year. Monta is clearly the go to guy of a very young team, and they are only getting better and putting up a challenge every nite. The FAKERS on the other hand are heading in the wrong direction. Odom and Gasol CAN NOT carry a team, and they are clearly not making the team better.
And like someone mentioned earlier LaMarcus should also be in. There is absolutely no reason Gasol is on there before LaMarcus and Ellis. -

Eric Gordon is having a more efficient year than Ellis FWIW.

Ellis is fantastic, but he isn't even one of the first two guys you'd put on the roster.
LaMarcus Aldridge deserves to be on ahead of Monta, and so does Zach Randolph. After those two guys, you can start talking Monta. He's a ridiculous player and would obviously coast onto the East All-stars, but this is the West.
In the NBA All-Star thread, I've been pulling hair out trying to figure out how to get these guys on the team. It's just not possible. -
Edited By: AMARTIN1181 Feb 14th, 2011 at 11:21 PMpretty far from a bum, WArriors are only like 4-5 games out out of the playoffs too. Considering how shitty Ginobli has played the past month Ellis def should be in over him.Originally Posted by RoyalCrusher

Babbbbby cuz i'm a thug. Decent player?? Not all-star caliber? What do you base this on? If you had ever watched the guy play u might realize how ridiculous it is to say this crap. LOL @ decent. Monta is a stone cold beasssst on offense. -

Odom is debatable, but Gasol > x1000000 > Ellis and its not even close. -
Yes there is. It's because Gasol is absolutely critical to the Lakers being 38-17 and being the defending NBA Champions. He carried the Lakers on his back for the first couple months of the season. As Gasol goes, so go the LA Lakers. Ellis is great, but come on. Put the homer glasses down. He would easily be an All-Star in the East; it just so happens that the West is LOADED. It's no disrespect to Ellis. Don't be butthurt.

severely underrating Monte ITT by many respectable OTers. Warriors are coming up too.

Did you seriously say that Odom and Gasol don't make the team better? Level?

lol at anybody underrating monta, is it even possible to underrate an inefficient bulk stats guy on a fast paced sub-.500 team that plays no d

Edited By: Z-Fresh Feb 14th, 2011 at 11:35 PMObvious Laker hater. He's having great year but to say Monte>Gasol is just beyond absurd. Plus they play different positions and Gasol only averages 2 less assists a game as a PF/Center. Gasol could easily have 25 points a game but he has to wait for Kobe to pass it to him and the Black Mamba doesn't always like to pass. Throw in 10+ rebounds a game plus 2 blocks and it's not even close who is the better player on a team going for its 3rd ring in a row and not fighting for an eighth seed.Originally Posted by y0y0y0y0y083
