Need serious Ipad help for a tech noob

    I am a tech noob, and need some help as I am going to get an Ipad2 from the Lock Poker promo. I work primarily in Microsoft word, and I hear you can convert documents through an application called pages.

    Can someone please tell me if it is practical to do word processing from an Ipad. And, if so, how do you convert word documents from a cd when I don't think Ipad had a CD. Or, should I just look to trade this Ipad for a netbook since I only need word processing, email, and net surfing.

    Please help!

    I have an iPad and don't find it practical at all to do any word processing on it. If that's what you want it for, get the netbook.

    That said, I love my iPad and feel like I've easily gotten my money's worth. I've had it for almost a year now. It definitely makes my life a bit simpler. I use probably 10 lifestyle apps regularly, play some games on it when I'm traveling, and read a ton.
