Dont ya think its just a little late to come back complaining about a "bad" deal you got, which If Im reading correctly you agreed to over a year ago? Isnt the court going to say why didnt you realize it way less than a year later? So late that the guy who supposedly did it was fire months and months ago? Im just trying to look at it from a bystanders (Judge Judy) view.

Also how are you going to prove you were "forced" into buying the warranty and body work? -
Edited By: kojacks Dec 5th, 2010 at 01:03 AMYou are such a fucking troll. You have one of the few undertitles I can say I actually like.Originally Posted by tommpat2000

more like they would make you pay for the extra miles as was agreed by you when you signed the lease right? You act like they were screwing you with this 4k, when in reality it was money you owed.
And lol and getting a 18.5% car loan, you too fucking spoiled to drive a shitty car you can afford?
Plz gfy -
Honda has it on record that I called them a month after I signed the papers complaining that I got forced into a warranty I didn't need, I called the dealership awhile after that to find out the guy had been fired, felt I had no recourse. Still prob don't, just really frustrated that the amount I got screwed on is almost exactly the same amount that I owe in excess to what they are willing to give me. I don't get scammed, I don't owe more then my car is worth.
-
UPDATE:
My father and I met with the owner and GM of the dealership today. They were visibly mortified that they had no idea that a deal this shady happened under their nose. They gave me this offer: they are willing to meet me halfway on my car, which means I only have to eat 1k instead of $3600. They also are willing to sell me a new TSX at cost which is around $24k instead of the $28.5k MSRP. In addition, they are willing to give me free maintenance on the car including oil changes and car washes for one year.
I was going to buy a new Civic, but if I were to do that, with the money I owe on my car, it would have cost me only 3k less for obviously a much lower quality car in comparison (still a good quality car, but economy vs luxury).
Thanks to everyone who gave me sound advice both in the thread and via PM.
To everyone who flamed me and said that they had no reason to do anything to fix the situation, I severely hope that you don't own a business involving selling goods or services. -
Do you have a local news hound that will put the dealership under the micro scope and give them some bad press untill they make it right?
-
They already are rectifying the situation, read two posts up.
-
hope your new tsx doesn't fall apart in 6 years like the last one
-
redundant now, but could you not have just torched the car and let the insurance company worry about what is owed?
-
I could have, but I try not to do federally incriminating things LOL
-
and look how the world repays you :P
haha, just kiddin. alls well that ends well i suppose. -
Yup! Got towed away and when I pulled it out of the impound it collapsed!!!! Until I put it in drive u couldn't tell anything was wrong. Apparently it fell straight down on a flatbed. When they lowered it _hey dropped it instead of slowly lowering it to the ground. Half the tranny was missing and he radiator had fallen out too!

Just opened this thread for the first time. Glad everything worked out.
On a side note... for some reason this thread that I made back in the spring of '08 was attached at the bottom here: http://www.pocketfives.com/f13/advic...elated-246980/
I really like this new feature, i find old ass gems all the time. -
sorry for trolling i never read this anymore but was bored and I've had my share of car poblems (with acura) as well... I just dont think your getting the whole point and obviously have not learned much of a lesson. Why do you need to drive a 24k car? Why dont you pay off car and get something like 5k or less that you can actually afford instead of getting raped again with interest rates and everything else that goes along with buying a new car? Once again sorry, but you haven't learned your lesson at all. You need to own up to your mistakes and drive something you can afford (buy with cash).
-
you mean it was on the wheel lift? was it lowered the car I mean?

Cuz this has nothing to do with what I can afford? I get reimbursed for my car payments, though I have a good job and can afford it regardless. The credit issues have nothing to do with not being able to afford my bills. They have to do with my parents getting sued fo millions in hospital bills and the bill collectors coming after me for payment.
Yea I used to be dropped really low. Really stupid gift from an old bf haha -
Ok but what you are saying isnt making any sense flatbeds do not lift a car straight up and place it on the bed (there are beds that do this but they havent caught on here really yet or at least hadnt a few years ago)
The car could have not been secured and rolled off of the bed but there would have been significant body damage (obvious)
I am not questioning you just trying to figure out what they told you happend -
That's what I was td happened by the shop who examined the car. I may not have understood how it happened exactly but the undercarriage was destroyed but the car's frame was flawless. There was 12k in damage but the tow truck company got stuck withe bill. Only thing I didn't get reimbursed was I had 19 inch chromies but w/e, another thig that wasn't smart to have on roads full of potholes.

If your getting reimbursed for car payments then all the power to you that is great, however, if you can't pay cash you cannot afford it.
-
No lesson learned here, oh wells. You were lucky with the dealer, they didn't have to do that (nor had a solid reason to).
-
I can just imagine a 20-something guy going in and getting laughed at.....and laughed at.....and laughed at..... with a hearty "now ya know for next time kid" as he parts.

Any owner of a business who laughs at someone when made aware their former employee bribed a customer should not own said business. -
even worse, it's my license plate.
