need more sp, i dont like the gregg, a.j perzyski picks, alot of opening day DL players too. Offense is good, and you will win in sb period.
btw whos sarting 2b? uggla, figgin, or prado? and how many utility spots are there?
overall 3.5-4.5/10 pitching is too horrid -
I have uggla at secon, and figgins is at 3b/1b right now. Prado is on my bench, but the lineups are set daily, so I will have days where all 3 are playing. There is 1 utility spot. I have never done a fantasy before, so I really had no idea what I was doing. I agree my SP sucks though. Any ideas on who I could legitimately trade for at SP?
-
I think you did alright for your first time. Your pitching is definitely a weak spot, but if Buchholz can take a big step forward (which he is capable of), and Feldman is a solid innings eater, you might be at least not-horrible there.
Being a daily league is a big plus for you as you have a lot of hitters that will be good matchup type guys. You'll also be able to sit your speed guys on the weekends and concentrate on other categories in weeks where you jump out to a big lead in steals.
You're gonna have to stay on top of things, and you might have to look at maybe trying to stream one pitching spot if you can, but all in all, not a disaster my any means.
Your pick of Pierzynski was horrible as there is absolutely no reason to carry a 2nd catcher, especially with McCann as your starter, and you probably could have grabbded a servicable SP at that point in the draft. I'd drop him for another SP right now. Not sure if Gregg is worth owning either. Maybe he'll have better peripherals pitching in lower leverage situations, but he won't be the setup guy and doubtful that he is going to do much for you. I bet there are some other middle relievers on your wire I'd rather own. He would be the closer if we get a down goes Frasor situation, so you could maybe hold on to him for now and see how he pitches, but I'd have a short leash.
