  1. I just accepted a new job and my manager is already one of my facebook friends. Do you think that I should de-friend her? I really only use facebook to post pics of my kids and stuff like that, nothing really ever interesting or potentially harmful to my work. The only thing is that the position is "work from home" some of the time and if I did post something during working hours I am not sure how she would react.

She contacted me about interview for the position and all but still not sure if being friends with a manager is a smart thing.
  2. Is she hot?

Not being able to look at bikini pics of her anymore would be -EV...be sure to take that into consideration before de-friending.
  3. Don't defriend her....it's going to look bad on you, after she hooked you up with a job.

Just limit what she can see, via your privacy settings.

  4. Sounds like your experience with female managers might be limited to fetish porn videos. This one is not hot and I would probably not want to see her in a bikini.

By the way, my sister lives in Taylorville, Il which is not too far from you...so there is that.

yah but like Paki said...you can't just de-friend her after she hooked you up with a job. put some limits on what she can see.
  8. yeah i mean i just dont accept their friend request and if they ask about it i just say i dont give it out.
  9. Never friend anyone on Facebook from work. Rookie move. Can't defriend now so just don't post anything at all outside of picture of your kids.
  10. Don't defriend her but block her from seeing pics tagged of you. Don't say anything bad about work online. It looks really bad if you defriend her.
  11. defriend the shit outta her immed. what is she going to do?
  12. Sure you can defriend her, if she asks why , just play dumb and say "o woops, I deleted a ton of people, plus I'm never on facebook anymore"
  13. lol @ ppl saying defriend...c'mon guys, that's easily the worst option

just block her from seeing everything in your settings easy game
  14. The privacy features on facebook are awesome these days, just do like jroth said and put limits on what she can see..
  15. De-friend is carreer suicide

    privacy FTW
  16. What happened was I used to work for her at another company and then she left. When she left she asked for me to send her my resume because she knew I hated the job also. I connected with her on facebook mainly to keep in touch with her for a future job and it seemed to work. She took a job as a manager at another company and sent me a message to interview two years later so I am kinda glad I did it.

I'll probably just limit what she sees, I didn't know you could do that.

  17. Kill a hooker, post a pic, and say you can't wait to start. You'll seem enthusiastic about work but she'll know to keep her distance.
  18. delete your FB account and spend more time here
  19. delete account and wait 60-90 days. reactivate and immed. block her. Facebook keeps your profile warm for 18 months because they know you are coming back.

He was friends with her on facebook before the job thing ever came up...it's not like she sent him a request after the job offer/acceptance.
  21. You've had her on there for 2 years? Definitely wouldn't de-friend her at this point. I'd maybe limit what she can see and/or just not make any posts to Facebook while I was supposed to be working from home.
