  1. I'll start. Bought the wife a Kindle Fire for Christmas. Bought a $50 Amazon card tonight. This shows up in her Amazon account, but when she tries to download anything, it still wants a credit card number.

Help needed, and yes, I tried Google. (suck at that too it seems.)
  2. Take it back and buy a IPad...

    Your welcome
  3. Maybe in her settings? I did almost the exact same thing except on a different tablet and when I go to buy books it automatically deducts it from my gift balance first.

lol you're joking right? ipads are the easiest things ever to operate.

if you're work email is on a Microsoft Exchange server it can be slightly difficult. you will need to contact your IT department and get your server information.

I have both the 'Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server' info, but still can't do it. I also have verified my address, if that matters.
  8. Out of all the mobile devices I have set up Exchange on iOS is the easiest. I could help you fc, but obviously you won't want to share secure data, so I recommend simply looking it up on an Apple support forum, etc. you probably just need to see how properly entered data looks like on iOS for Exchange.
  9. holy fucking christ man, I'm obv an Apple n00b. Checked out the forums and am fuckin lost, so frustrating. I really want to use the Ipad to it's fullest.

ACP, what u mean by Exchange?
  10. Microsoft Exchange. Do you use Outlook for email?
  11. Hosted Exchange. Company obviously uses its domain name.
  12. not a kindle fire question, but the the text to speech stopped working on the kindle touch we got my mom, it was working when i tried it out for a minute, then i stopped it and when she went back to do it again, it did nothing.

Setup a new 1 Click Payment Method and use Visa Card #4111111111111111 as your Visa Card.

Set up the expiration date as any future date. Set the name as Paypal Test.

Add your real address and shipping information on the next screen.

Voila, you now have a dummy card setup with your Amazon Kindle 1 Click Payment system. Now, any real purchase will get instantly rejected, but this allows you to download all the free apps and games you want and you dont have to worry about your kids charging your real account.
