So i recently purchased a macbook and i did the whole startup thing but i never once inserted a CD to install anything. i have basic programs and the usual yada yada yada, but the computer came with 2 CD's that i have no idea if i should do anything with?
1st CD says Mac book applications install DVD
2nd CD says Mac OSX install DVD
My question is do i even need to use or install anything from these CD's?
thanks.. -
doubt it man, just toss them.
-
i never used the cd's for mine either. keep them incase you need to re install programs or something.
-
alright thanks guys! i just didnt want end up having to use them and thenbe screwed because i threw them away.
-
dont throw them away! if you need to reinstall the os for some reason, thats why they give you the disks.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT THROW THEM AWAY!!!
That is your computers operating system. They give them to you in case there is a problem and you can re-install everything. Go and retrieve them from the trash now! Store them some place in case you are told to re-install your OS. -
