New Years Party Idea...

    I bartend and plan all the events for a small bar. I'm trying to plan something new and different for our New Year's Eve party. I'm thinking of having a themed party. Something like, "People & Events from the First Decade"... I want people to dress up like someone or something from the last 10 years.

    Balloon boy, Octomom, Jersey Shore, Bush, Obama, Lady Gaga, Anna Nicole, Michael Phelps, etc...

    Would you go to a New Years Party like this? There will be drink specials all night and a free glass of champagne if you dress up. Just need some OT insight :)

    Well we were gonna do the normal free champagne at midnight, balloon drop, shit like that, but I thought of this last night and I'm trying to pull it all together

    You dont have enough time to get the word out, while at the same time giving people enough time to come up with outfits.

    Just scrap this idea now. Its not going to work with only 4 days of notice and planning.

    The bar is a small wine/high gravity beer bar... We have mostly locals and my friends that come in there. I know I could get the word out in time, that's not an issue. Just didn't know if the idea would work... Would you dress up if your favorite "local" bar threw a party like this for New Years?

    Sounds more like a house party that will take place at a small bar. If so, then this will probably work.
