    Most of America would do exactly what they did the last time the NFL had a lockout. Wait a year and when it comes back, make it the most watched sport in America by far.

    With the change in the nature of media, I honestly can't imagine either side being stupid enough to actually allow even a week of a work stoppage. That shit will be so magnified in the 24-hour news cycle, the Internet, etc. The risk is way to high to the net worths and bottom lines of the franchises/owners. In the end, there will be 2 preseason games, 18 regular season games in 2012, and the NFL will agree to higher payoffs to retired players, and reduce the amount of service required to getting vested in the pension. With the new info on concussions and sub-concussion hits, they risk a serious lawsuit if they don't, and they've already admitted the link.
