I'm back to OT looking for some football advice.
I'm part of an NFL suicide league where we have to pick one team to LOSE each week and we cannot pick the same team twice.
Now that we are in the playoffs, we can pick teams that we already picked in the regular season.
I think this is going to be a tough week to get through and we will lose a few people. I don't see any really obvious picks.
I'm thinking of either picking the Cardinals or the Chargers to lose. They seem like weak teams that made the playoffs b/c they got to play in the weak NFC and AFC West and they'll have to play some strong road teams.
However, the Chargers scare me a little. Reeling off 4 straight wins at the end and coming back from the dead. They could easily be 10-6 if not for some bad officiating and bad breaks. So maybe they are not as bad as a typical 8-8 team.
Also, I'm thinking about the fact that they play the colts tough and were able to beat them on the road last year with basically the same teams.
So, I think picking the Cardinals to lose is the best pick available.
Baltimore @ Miami and Philly @ Minn look like tossups to me. I haven't checked the lines yet but I'm guessing the home teams will be no more than a 3 point favorite in these games.
What do you think? -
All the home teams are underdogs.
I say take the Cards or Vikings. -
all the games are toss ups... all road teams are favorites and none are more than 3 point favs.
personally i wouldn't pick arizona to lose - they've been solid at home this year. on the road they've been terrible. if they happen to win their game this week, then they are excellent pick to lose next week.
my best guess: tavaris jackson's inaccurate arm + less time to throw because of the eagles defensive pressure = minnesota loss. other than the washington game last week, eagles have been one of the hottest teams - i think they've won 4 of their last 5 -
since they are already fitting peyton manning for his next super bowl ring i think the answer is quite obv

obv pick to me in pick san diegoto lose becuase i think indy is best team of the 8 playing this weekend
-
Vikings to lose fer sure...did u see what philly did to dallas

Bump,
Looking for some sort of consensus (I know, it's probably asking too much). I would like to get a few more perspectives, though. -
you dont listen to answers when they smack you in the face.....i think bumping is against the forum rules sir....gl

vikings and or dolphins.
cards have a SB winner at QB and have been good at home vs a Rookie QB.
San Diego is Playoff savvy, talented and hungry to do something big. They are at home. LOL at the colts being invincible in the playoffs. Or at anytime for that matter.
Dolphins playing a team with the most talented D in the league that has consistent runners and a geling line that lost to the same team earlier this yr at home (obv diff circumstances)....or the Vikings vs a nasty and talented Eagles D and their very nice O w/o some of their best front 7 players available.....so flip a coin btwn vikings and dolphins but leaning vikings -
Vikings. I don't like betting for Rookie QBs on the road (although this has been a batshit crazy year in the NFL) and although I really like the Colts, I don't think it's a good idea to bet against the Chargers since they are relatively hot.
