    I did this once to a guy in high school when he wouldn't leave my gf at the time alone (flirting--> made her uncomfortable and she asked me to do something) in senior jazz band, and he got brain damage because I hammered him so fucking hard in the face.

    I haven't been the same since, and frown upon violence.

    this fight disgusts me. very unprofessional by Asham.

    After the game Asham apologized for the way he acted and said it was very unprofessional. Curious to see what happens next time these teams meet. Doubt that apology is gonna be enough.

    really don't think this is as big a deal as people are making it out to be. fuckin talking heads on sportsnet, tsn, the score, etc

    I had heard that Ovechkin was pissed because Asham was fighting a kid that didnt know how to throw punches or something along that line. Dont know much about the other dude.

    this fight isn't a big deal, KO's are gunna happen when people fight.

    Only reason people are talking about it is because of what happened this summer

    every other sport---> fighting = suspension, fines, etc
    hockey---> fighting= go sit in the box for a 5 minute timeout

    Haha beagle got what was coming too him, he has zero clue how to fight and accepts a challenge with his chin sticking straight up.. maybe it will teach him he needs to learn how to defend himself before he goes fucking with star players

    Brooks Laich basically saying the new NHL rules suck today...said Beagle wanted to come back into the game, but the new rules prevented it because he might have had a concussion.

    Found it kind of interesting, as Laich is the Caps player rep...and he obviously doesn't know what he's talking about.

    Yah...I know people are going to have problems with it, but with science just now learning how bad concussions can be for people, I'm glad they are taking precaution.

    Nobody needs to be dying prematurely to play a sport.

    oh no doubt...i wasn't really directing that at you. i think laich is being a moron in this situation. i'm just saying that we'll be hearing whispers all year about how the NHL is turning their players into pussies etc. etc.

    i'm a blues fan...i want nothing more than to have david perron back. but if he's putting himself at risk by skating with full contact, then it would be ridiculous to rush him back out there.
