I'd rather keep them starving for playoff hockey than to have them booted in 4 or 5 games. I believe it was averaged that a team that makes the playoffs will make approximately $1M/game.

Mediocre defense?? We have arguably the best depth in the NHL when it comes to our blue line. Cody Franson was a healthy scratch at the beginning of the season, he'd be a top 4 defenseman on most teams.

And how many teams have more than 2 or 3 top 6 forwards. The Vanouver Cancucks have 2 MAYBBBEEEE 3 if you argue Kesler, and the funny thing is the 2 are twins, which really count as 1 set of sisters. Last I checked they made the Cup Final last year, so the argument that the Leafs have 1 top 6 forward is IRRELEVANT!

You're gonna bring Rosehill into the argument?? He comes up to fight, and thats it, thats why he doesn't play every game. If you knew anything about hockey, you'd know the importance of a 4th line and what they do for the team.

He is by no means is he a goalie that a team should rely on to win them games by himself, and I don't think they should.

No Cody would be a 4-6 dman on most teams. Yes the D is very deep. However: Gardiner 21, Gunnarsson 25, Schenn 22, Phaneuf 26, Komisarek 29, have played a combined 0 playoff games since 2009, and they are all on Phaneuf and Komi

If Kesler is not a top 6 forward then the Leafs have 1, Kessel. At best the leafs have 3, Kessel, Connoly, and Lupul (but more likely a product of Kessel) Last year it looked like Grabo C-Mac and Kully were going to all be top 6's but not so much now
